We stayed in Ischia only for one night but we wish we had stayed longer. The staff took great care of us (even through language barriers) and everything felt homemade - never too fancy but all you need.
My family and I spent a lovely week in an appartment at Villa Marinù. It's situated in a peaceful area, perfect for a relaxing holiday. We had free access to the thermal pool just across the road whereas the beach is a 10-15 minute walk away from the residence. The beach is beautiful, the water was so clean and I really wish we were still there! The family and staff running the villa are exceptionally friendly and only too willing to help. The only downfall I found was not regarding Villa Marinù but in the area surrounding; infact there isn't a butcher, fishmonger or a baker close by but there is a pleasant minimarket nearby who will even deliver your shopping door to door. Our family holiday experience there was lovely, relaxing and refreshing. I would definately recommend Villa Marinù for those looking for the peaceful kind of break away.…
A soft place to have as a base for exploring Ischia. Nothing extra but still so nice. We took the bus down to Forio and went to the market and bought swordfish and salmon. Barbequed it on the hotel and with the fresh salad and other sidedishes we had the view at the see made us feel loved.
I was travelling with a large group of people which could not be accomodated in the selected hotel. Therefore as a lastminute alternative some people from our group were transferred to this property. It was difficult to find, even the police officers we asked had no idea where the street we were looking for was located. When we open the door to our room it was strange in the sense that it was one room with a bed and kitchen together, I have never seen this before. the furniture was old and outdated. The bathroom was a good size and everything both rooms were clean. The owners were friendly and accomodating. The set up of the place is strange in that there are open staircases all over which lead to more rooms. The pool is a way down the road. I assume it belongs to the hotel Villa Teresa (which is where it is located) but the Marinu has usage. The road to get to the pool is run down but the pool and pool area is nice. Breakfast was O.K. Very limited. I found it inconvenient as far as location. I would not go back.…
