This hotel was beyond amazing!! The staff was so friendly and helpful! They picked us up from the hotel and made sure our check in process was as smooth as possible! I couldn’t say enough about how amazing the staff was. Room was also very spacious and comfortable! Would stay again when I visit!
Excellent service and unique location. One could not ask for more in terms of service and views. There is a magnificent terrace where a sumptuous breakfast is served. In the evening it turns into the Dolce Vita restaurant with an enjoyable piano player in the background. As to the meals served there, there is room for improvement. But the many small restaurants in the vicinity are an invitation to take a short walk and enjoy not only the seafood they offer but also the boutiques on the main street. We have been there three times already and would not consider going anywhere else on the island if Ischia, for the other hotels we have stayed at do not match the Regina Isabella.
If I could give 10 stars I would. The historic charm if this high quality classic hotel is more than words can describe. The location, beauty and elegance are things that make this place stand out. The entire staff is at your disposal as well as warm and friendly. Their leader is the hotel manager David who sets the example for all of his team. The food is delicious across the board, breakfast, lunch or dinner, all amazing. I do not want to leave and can't wait to come back. Grazie por tutto.
This is a beautiful hotel and perfect location. The rooms are so spacious and the pool area has the best view. The service is unbeatable here and Tonia is the best! We were traveling with two young kids and needed extra accommodations and she was so incredibly helpful. The food and drinks on property are great as well. We hope to be back soon!
We loved the hotel. Beautifully classic, good sized bedroom, wonderful service, great views. Great position on the Island, with a beautiful square and shops adjacent to the hotel. Wish we had come for longer!
This hotel is not for those of you who love to gather your Marriott points. The furniture is luxurious old antiques and makes you feel like you're in the middle of opulence. I could kick myself for not taking a picture of the floral tiles in my room 362. Everyone at the front desk will do anything for you and each different area of the hotel left me breathless. Take a look at the ceilings... the lounge areas are so comfortable and the music that radiates never failed to make me feel just giddy. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were wonderful. I didn't try Indico as it just didn't seem like my cup of tea. But the pool, the jetties, etc. are just perfection. Also the town of Lacco Ameno around it is perfectly walkable with lots of nice shops and restaurants. I want to go back!…
This is definitely one of the nicest hotels in Ischia. The location is great! Everyone on the staff is wonderful here, but Tonia made our trip extra special. She was so cordial and attentive. I don't normally write reviews, but she really went above and beyond. We will definitely be back at the Regina Isabella Hotel!
The hotel must have been la grand dame of Ischia once upon a time, seeing its beautiful setting and lovely location. However it urgently needs a makeover, bringing it up to current times while maintaining it’s old school charm. The rooms are very dated, Ac’s work poorly in relentlessly hot weather, and are also super noisy. The decor looks tacky and not classical. Bathrooms need to be remodeled. Price of rooms is way overpriced for what you get. They also should remove the ancient rule of dress code, where one needs to wear long trousers to enter their bar in July, in stifling heat, in a barely cooled down hotel!. On the plus side, there is a lot that still works for this hotel. The setting of the beach club is stunning and priceless. The service is impeccable and the staff are outstanding, and they remind you that you are indeed staying in a 5 star hotel with old school charm. If remodeled there are a lot of original features that can be retained like their beautiful floors.…
Dear Regina Isabella, thank you for the most memorable experience - a true definition of Italian hospitality and luxury. Accommodations, food, service and overall feeling of the hotel and amenities left a lasting impression of rejuvenation and a desire to return. See you again soon!
We planned this trip three times (thank you, Covid) and were so thrilled to finally get to Ischia and the Regina Isabella after so much time. This is a fantastic "grande dame" seaside hotel, worthy of the hype and kudos. First, I want to compliment the wonderful staff. Raphael (hope I am spelling his name correctly), the concierge to whom all concierges should aspire, is a gem. I have no idea how he is able to juggle 15 different items simultaneously, with grace, good humor, and a helpful spirit, but he does and it is a marvel. The staff at the beaches, Indaco, and breakfast service also deserve particular mention. Regarding the latter, we were particularly thankful that the staff at the buffet took care to serve those who had been waiting rather than cater to those (thankfully relatively few) guests who ran up to the buffet and demanded immediate service, regardless of those who had been waiting their turn. Much appreciated!! The "beaches" are stone jetties outfitted with sunbeds under palapas and ladders down into the ocean. We always found a place, regardless of what time we arrived, even though there are the inevitable guests who go down first thing in the morning to "reserve" their spots. To anyone to whom this applies - don't do it - there's room for everyone! The Michelin-starred Indaco was a delight. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere matches. When we arrived, we took in an amuse bouche and an aperitif outside, facing the sea, as the sun descended in the sky and the ocean turned the restaurant's namesake "indigo." Wait staff was perfect - attentive but not too much so, well-trained and professional. Our room was beautiful - facing the sea, with a small balcony outfitted with a bistro table and chairs for our daily sundowners (too sunny - aka hot - for morning coffee, when the sun was beating down on the balcony area). Lovely bright floor tiles in the bedroom and bathroom, decent A/C, comfortable bed, if a little on the firm side. We could not have been happier here for our four days in Ischia. Thank you to the entire RI team!!…
