Villa Angelica is situated in a great location a quiet road but a short walk to the shops and restaurants and beach on the front. We had a nice room with a balcony with view of the sea. Bed was firm but very comfortable. We had breakfast in the dining room which was very nice warm croissants etc and omelette or scrambled egg. Luigi and Claudia were great hosts and we even watched Luigi playing guitar in a local band on the front at night. Lacco Ameno is a very nice resort very chilled and relaxed. The lovey beach San Montano and Negombo thermal spa pools are only a twenty minute walk. Really enjoyed our holiday and would visit Ischia again.

Villa Angelica is a magical place. Run by very caring, attentive to details Conte family, they go above and beyond to make you feel like home. Only 5 min walk from the beach and all the restaurants and shopping strip it makes Villa Angelica a perfect location to spend several days in relax. Outstanding service, sea-view, super comfy mattress, great bathroom, real thermal 35 degrees swimming pool in a luscious garden and fantastic breakfast are some of the things we loved the most. Also be ready to be greeted by their cutest cat Ciccio who gives the Villa even a more home feel. :) A little tip: Claudia is a professional osteopath and does therapeutic massages, facials and other wonderful treatments for your health (she is very busy, so need to book in advance). My Mom said she wouldn't trust anyone else but Claudia. Thank you so much, guys for our extraordinary time in Lacco Ameno. We will be back!

Hotel Villa Angelica in Lacco Amenno was an ideal home base for our week's stay in Ischia, and the family Conti were very helpful and caring hosts. Initial communication via e-mail was very prompt, in good English. We truly enjoyed this hotel's charm, closeness to the center, bus stop, shopping etc., yet on a quiet side street affording us great sleep. Our room was very comfortable, bright, quiet, clean and well appointed, and had a large terrace with ocean view. We were glad that we had chosen half board, as food was always plenty, fresh and tasted delicious. As North Americans we appreciated the option of eggs ( omelette, scrambled, boiled) for breakfast. The tree course dinner was set, however we loved each and every meal. Being at the end of the season, we usually had the lovely thermal pool to ourselves. A great "Thank you ! " to the Conti family. We have done a lot of travelling, can recommend this place highly.

Upon arrival, my friends and I were greeted by loudly chirping birds in a cage. This was the highlight of our stay. The pictures were better than the hotel. The personnel were hostile. The rooms were very small. We were told to be quiet within five minutes of our arrival at 6:30 pm. We had to carry our own large suitcases up and down the stairs to our rooms. We chose this hotel based upon comments that they make you feel like a member of their family. This is not a family I would want to be part of.

We simply loved the beautifully decorated hotel and the warm welcome we received on our arrival. We felt at home right from the start and fully enjoyed our 5 days in Lacco Ameno. The owners did their utmost to ensure that we had everything we needed and encouraged us to see as much of the island as possible (thank you, Claudia!). Our room was comfy, impeccably clean and had a spacious terrace with a magnificent view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The location is excellent. The charming beaches of Lacco Ameno and the restaurants are but 2 minutes away and busses to all parts of the island just around the corner. Our stay in Ischia was a great success thanks to the Hotel Villa Angelica and the hospitality of the amazing family who run it. Highly recommended!

The hotel is clean and the building was cosy, but it needs new air conditioners and mattresses. The rooms are small and a bit old-fashioned. The air conditioner was old and very noisy and it didn't functioned. The personal were unpleasant.

Just spent a very relaxing and enjoyable week at this small, family-run hotel. The owners have run the place for around 50 years and can give you great tips of places to visit, the best beaches etc. The food was excellent and the cook even made some special vegetarian meals especially for me. The room was really clean and the hotel itself very comfortable. Location is great - right in the centre of Lacco Ameno and just a few metres away from the sea.

A very nice and friendly boutique hotel surrounded by the garden. Exelent place for those who do not stand the beach resort whirpool. Clean and quite. The beach is only in five minutes walk and there is a swimming-pool with thermal water in the hotel. You'll feel like a guest of honour as the owners make there best to make all your wishes come true. Don't miss the possibility to dine at the place - it's much better and cheaper than in the reastarunts nearby. And the wellness massage by Claudia is just a treat you need and deserve - take your chance.

We have recently returned from a great stay at this lovely Hotel in Lacco Ameno. We 'negotiated' a taxi fare from Ischia Porto as it was quite quiet on the Island so between three of us it was approx. Euro 6.50 each. At the Hotel Francesco and his family were very welcoming and we had great fun at mealtimes not knowing what we were going to eat for dinner each night. What we did eat was fresh food, beautifully cooked and very varied with choices offered if needed. We sometimes struggled with the generous portions and each night we had to eat all four courses because it was so good!!. Rooms are quite airy. showers hot and beds comfortable - the Hotel was spotlessly clean inside and out so we could not fault it. Our balcony looked over the front but the road was not busy, so a quiet location with a view of the sea. Lacco Ameno is a charming resort with bars, restaurants and small beach areas (pay for sunbeds and brolly) and it is easy to get to anywhere else on the Island via the buses - but these run absolutely full and not to any particular timetable - so be prepared to push your way on and hang on tight!!! We soon got used to it and it added to the fun. Negombo Thermal Park is wonderful and walking distance -pricey but well worth a whole day visit as is La Mortella Gardens a short bus ride away.. So - Francesco and your family and staff - we had a good holiday thanks to you all. We LOVE food and yours is good!!!!!!!!

Such a beautiful old building in a great location, but the owner is nasty and stubborn and frankly ruined our stay. I think the problem was that we booked through a promotion on our credit card, so from the moment we arrived he made a point to tell us we were not paying what the room was worth. But instead of leaving it at that, he dramatically refused us service through our three day stay - for example, at breakfast the other guests were treated to delightful banter and choice of meal - for us, he gave everyone eggs one way, and when a waiter tried to pour our juice, he said "no, they didn't pay." Similarly, he wouldn't let the women clean our rooms or give fresh towels. From our perspective, we'd saved and saved for this trip and were thrilled to be able to use the credit card points to make it happen. But he acted like we were trying to cheat him. So sad! We did enjoy the beautiful island, the extraordinary beaches, and the quaint restaurants - but the hostility of our hotel experience was regrettable.
