My partner and I visited this restaurant twice during our stay on Ischia an island off of Naples in Italy. We were very impressed with the service and quality of food as well as the price for delicious food. There forte is seafood but they also offer pizza and veggie friendly options. The location is in the heart of a village, Lacco Ameno, where you can dine both indoors or outside. I would encourage you to dine here. The siblings who run the place are first rate.
They gave us a room on the second floor with a small terrace overlooking the sea. The room was very clean, included a TV and an en-suite bathroom. There was also air conditioning, very useful for the summer heat. In the morning we ordered breakfast in the room, arrived in a short time and enjoyed on the terrace where there were a table with two chairs and a beach chair to enjoy the sun. The hotel includes a small quiet beach with very clean water. We were offered two beach chairs with umbrella and it was very relaxing. We chose to stop for lunch given the hotel restaurant overlooking the sea and the food was really good. The structure is family-run, they were all very kind and friendly. The whole experience will make us return in this amazing island and in this fabulous hotel.
25 rooms only, very cozy and autentic - keep coming back was just there for the Thind time. From many rooms you will have sea view over The harbour and beach. Great tasty food and friendly staff - we’ll be back again, soon.
Situated right on the beach in a wonderful part of Ischia. We stopped for an early dinner (6.30) to satisfy the kids as nothing else opens before 7 or 8. Service terrible - waited 30 mins for the 2 beers to arrive, generally inattentive - but the pizza was great and the seafood gnocchi (slightly unusual dish) was fantastic. Seafood fresh and well cooked. Price pretty much identical to all others in the area. Don’t be put off by the gaudy decor. This was not bad.
We stayed here 4 nights at the hotel in September. Hotel itself was in a fabulous location in Lacco Ameno part of the island. It is situated right on the main area of Lacco Ameno, it has its own private beach, 10 minute walk to Negombo (we went every day!), and has lots of great restaurants nearby (less than a 5 minute walk). The staff for the most part was friendly, however it is a family run hotel and we were yelled at by the grandmother a few times for bringing in our own water (which was very rude in my opinion). The "breakfast included" was never really specified to us, so I can't really speak to whether or not this was true or we were just never told. The rooms are pretty small. We booked 1 king bed, which ended up being just 2 doubles pushed together. The beds were awful, the equivalent of sleeping on a rock, and the amenities in the room were very basic. They told us they would only replace our towels and sheets once every 2 days, which was annoying considering we were using the beach and going in and out of the water pretty much every day. Walls are thin so make sure you bring earplugs. Georgia (one of the owners) was great and gave us a room that faced the water with a fantastic deck that had views of the ocean and town, but the deck is not very private, as the decks are all connected and look right onto the other decks of the rooms adjacent. Overall, this was a good place for what it was, a cheap way to stay on Ischia. However if you are looking for more of a luxury stay, I would consider staying at a different hotel.…
Really personal service with great food. Of our 14 nights in Ischia we came here 5 times, and recommended it to others. Book to get the tables by the sea. Lovely. Ideally located on the main high street in Lacco Amena you cannot miss it.
One of the finest Lacco Ameno has - the food is excellent every time! The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful! The beach is next door, the views stunning and the variety of visitors is staggering! I’ve met Russians, Americans, Brits, Nicaraguans and Germans all of whom have been friendly, outgoing and sociable! La Siranella is at the center of everything here and if you are lucky you may see Rafael Calise (former owner and executive chef at ristorante Salute in Seattle, WA) dubbed one of America’s 50 best chefs in America in 1985! This IS the place to stay and eat in ischia
The restaurant is located at the beach with a beautifull view! The food is excellent and you have a great choice (pizza, pasta, fresh fish etc.) but the best thing are the the owner of the hotel, Luigi and his sisters! They always give you a warm and friendly welcome especially to the kids! It is our third year in Ischia and we always come back to Luigi ;-)
The food in the restaurant is fantastic, pizzas and pasta are amazing! My main takeaway from the restaurant though is the lovely staff. Every time I visited they were so friendly and couldn’t have asked for more! Also you can’t beat the view!
A dream-like position...a beatiful hotel, colourful bright rooms, delicious food overlooking the sea and nice staff..not to be missed. We were there to celebrate our 50s with a group of frirnds and the buffet was amazing!
