The resort is quiet, spacious and comfortable, with pool, spa and honesty bar. The owners will also cook a meal for the guests using fresh food bought each day and serving up a delicious Sicilian menu for a very reasonable price. The breakfast is also along the same lines, with freshly baked cakes and a good selection of traditional breakfast...

Ideal to relax and enjoy vacation. The place is quiet but you reach all highlights in the sorroundings in a short time. Dinner is delicious and all products are locally produced. You should try all local specialities. Best season April and September October. A car is a must !

Nice country hotel with very friendly owners and staff. Good base for exploring Etna, Taormina and east Sicily. Owners give useful advice on the area and provide good local food with information on ingredients and preparation. Nice pool, good food and wine. Honesty bar. Good stuff at good price!

Definitely recommended for the excellent quality/price ratio, friendly owners and helpful staff, the location is very good in order to do various outdoor activities like walking the Alcantara Gorges, quad bike, horse riding and visiting the nearby villages. Make sure that you have dinner there and let them please you with a good meal that will fill you up with...

This is a fantastic, small, family run, hotel and an ideal place from which to explore eastern Sicily. The room was first rate, the setting delightful and the pool a wonderful place to cool off after a walk up Etna or round the Alcantara gorge. The family were exceptionally helpful; one of our party required medical treatment during our stay...

The romano family is very friendly and their casale romano has nice rooms, a great pool and their kitchen is better than several restaurants in the area. If you have a rental car and want to mix little trips with relaxing by the pool this is the place to book.

Brilliant stay in the self catering apartment. The hosts were great, helping to recommend and organise day trips- we walked up Etna and did a tour of the Aeolian Islands- neither of which we would have done so well on our own. The food was lovely, especially the evening meal, freshly cooked local food, served with care and attention. Surrounded...

The owners were very welcoming. The place is about 30 minutes away from Taormina and only 5 mins walk from Alcantara Gorge. There are a few really nice restaurants in the area. The pool was great. We stayed there in July so it was very hot and we found that the aircon could not cope. It was hot and stuffy...

We had a wonderful holiday at Casale Romano. Sabina and Saro are brilliant hosts and all the staff very friendly. The homemade evening meals were a delight. I celebrated my birthday there and they made it an extra special day. The superior rooms are very comfortable and the apartments very special. Being surrounded by lemon and orange groves was beautiful...

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem whilst travelling around Sicily. The location seems a bit of a drive from Taormina but is well worth the trip for the comfortable rooms, beautiful setting and amazing (& affordable) 3 course local menu that is on offer each night. We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night...
