Had a wonderful stay but can't understand why it was so bad in 2005 and 2006. Is this the same place commented upon. Chiara e Lorenzo in Torri Can anyone explain please?

We spent one week with Alberto and his family. They are very good hosts. The Villa is situated in the Chianti area and the view is wonderful. Food is very good and both Alberto and his wife were very kind and helpful. We will definitly go back there as soon as possible.

I've just returned from a week with my family at Alberto's place. Before I get into details, I must say that I had a wonderful time there and that I'll return sometime. The place is situated in the Tuscan hills, covered by vineyards and olive plantations. The only signs of human presence are the many ancient stone buildings, like this...

My wife and I, just married in America, chose a three night stay here based on web listings. One of the most important considerations was the fact that the owner was advertised as being a "retired chef" - what a joke. When we arrive, tired from a long day of travel, we were told it was "too late" for dinner....

If there was a catagory lower than terrible I would click that! This place was an absolute disgrace. So much so, that i contacted the Italian tourest board and the UK Embassy in Italy (I have the letter should you wish to read it!). Breakfast, what a joke, Breakfast is almost non-existent, a few stale French Toasts, croissants that have...

My Husband and I stayed with Alberto and his family in 2002' for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. We had a huge private room with bath that had a wonderful view looking over the valley and river below. Alberto took us on several day trips since we did not have a car. We went to a winery, a...

"retired chef" indeed! We had the 4 course dinner, which was reasonably priced at about 25 Euro each, but very poor quality. Firstly did not appreciate Alberto comparing the price to eating at a pizza place "which costs at least 20 euro" (where is he thinking of?), secondly we were told we couldn't eat at the table outside under the...
