We stayed here for a short break with our 4yr old & 18 month old boys. We were made to feel like one of the family & felt completely relaxed throughout the trip. The rooms, facilities, food & location are second to none & all excellent value for money. The excellent restaurant with stunning views was only a short walk...

We have just had the most wonderful holiday. A beautiful house set in a small hamlet, Palazzo Majo is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The hotel is exquisitely designed, no detail overlooked and Mario is the perfect host. Highly recommend.

If I ever won the lottery, I would take up permanent residence at Palazzo Majo. At the very pinnacle of the hilltop village of Lugnano, this hotel is a complete revelation. I could only wonder at the history of the place, which is an enormous solid country, with its own chapel, set among the sprawling crazy gardens, caves terraces, and...

Palazzo Majo is ideal for a break to relax and enjoy the food, wine and excellent hospitality. A fantastic place to stay and wonderful surroundings to relax in, with stunning views and marvellous ambience. The building is very interesting - the small chapel is beautiful - and the decoration is immaculate. The best thing about Palazzo Majo is how welcome...

This place is absolutely fantastic and beautiful and romantic and breathtaking and we just had the best time here. Cannot say enough about it. Ticks all boxes for couples, teenagers. little kids or just friends getting together. I have never had a more relaxed holiday and the views are just unbelievable. Rooms are stunning, comfortable and complemented by some very...

If you want a bed and breakfast hotel that is off the beaten track then this is the place for you. It is run by Joe and Mario, Scottish Italian brothers, who are so friendly and helpful that you feel like you are visiting family. The views from the rooms are breathtaking and the small chapel near the front door...

Last July, we (my husband, our children of 1 year and 8 year old and myself) stayed for 2 weeks at Palazzo Majo in Lugnano - Citta di Castello.. The location was just perfect: on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, visits to both are possible (we liked espcially Umbria which allowed for more air during high season). As for...

I chose this hotel for my friends visiting me , not so much for the location,( though of course Umbria, being less well known than Tuscany, offers so much to discover) but mainly because I was thoroughly bored with the 'rustic charm' and 'traditional fare' almost every other Umbrian hotel I had visited was oozing with. At Palazzo Majo, the...

This place is truly idyllic. Set in the Umbrian countryside, the views over the surrounding land are stunning. The room I stayed in has been furnished in a modern style and the bathroom was a sight to be seen - at least as big as the bedroom itself! The two brothers who run it, couldn't have been more helpful and...

My husband and I stayed at Palazzo Majo for 4 days while on a trip to Tuscany (although this place is just over the Tuscan border in Umbria) and we thought it was great. The place is massive (check out www.palazzomajo.com) but has been cleverly refurbished and only has 4 rooms, all of which are big, light and airy. It...
