Stayed here for a few days in January 2019 (leaving a review a long time after the holiday, thus can't choose January anymore). We got a very spacious and nice room but not with the view we asked for. We told that to the reception and they gave us three keys-we could go to three rooms and choose the room we want to stay at. This was so cool of them! We decided to stay at the one we originally got haha since it was the biggest room of them all. There were some concerts downstairs every night. Very good breakfast. Great location. Would come back again.
Had a great time having recently returned on the 14th March. We managed to get in our holiday before they shut the airport through the virus outbreak. The hotel staff were so obliging and the food excellent, even though the main restaurant was being refurbished it didn’t impact on us at all. Location excellent, promenade outside to walk along and quiet. We had an upgraded room as it was my partners birthday which was lovely and wine and cake in our room. Overall if you are reading this, don’t hesitate to book this hotel. Madeira is a stunning island and so is this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel earlier this month. Unfortunately when we were there the main kitchen was closed for renovations. On arrival check in was quick but we did not receive much information regarding the hotel. Our premium room was very tired and dated, it was fairly clean but a lot of dust under the bed. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers and hangers for our clothes. Did not like the bare tiled floor, should have had a few rugs or carpet runner, the bed was very comfortable and room quiet on a night. Food was served in the buffet restaurant for breakfast but food although varied was cold and we could not find a microwave to heat the food so after a couple of days did not bother, only had fruit and toast. Lunchtime was in the beach bar and was the best meal of the day. Cooked to order was hot and a good choice. Because of the kitchen being closed dinner was also in the beach bar, not great only a choice of two meals. One fish one meat and a small selection of starters in a buffet table. Not great so we ate out a couple of times. Pool area ok plenty of sun loungers, but hotel only half full, pool freezing and not many used it. Gate from pool direct onto the promanard using the room key. No beach only stones but nice walk on the flat. Away from this all roads on very steep hill, just outside the hotel there is a busy stop and hotel runs courtesy bus to Funchal. There is not many places to eat or shop near the hotel so you need to go to Funchal for any entertainment or shopping. The entertainment in the hotel is practically non existent, possible because it was so early in the year. Don't think that we would go back to this hotel. There are a few better hotels nearby, but think we will go to Funchal next time.…
Shortly after arriving we learned that a malfunction in the main kitchen had brought frorward a complete refit. The management assembled his team and invited the guests to meet them for a cocktail. The manager expalined the problem and told guests that they could transfer to another hotel if they felt that the work to be done would interfere with their holiday. Only one couple exercised this choice. The rest stayed because this hotel it is just amazing. Yes, we did hear some hammering at times but it didn't disturb us. With the main didning room out of action guests enjoyed waiter service in a smaller dining area, the choice was not buffet but there was something for everyone! Fabulous food. This is a really caring hotel with happy staff who love to assist whenever they can. We were upgraded to a sea-view room on the ground floor, it was spotlessly clean and the bed was superb. The hotel is set in lovely grounds leading onto a seafront promenade giving about a half mile flat walk by the sea. It was really nice to hear the sea as we lay in bed or sat on our balcony. My wife enjoyed three massages in the spa and I took advantage of the gym and the lindoor pool. A courtesy runes int Funcal and back fout times a day and a local bus (155) leaves just outside the hotel on a regular basis, including Sundays. For me, the most impressive feature in the hotels green credentials. No single use plastic in evidence. No horrible little plastic contaiers of butter or jam, just cut what you need from the block of butter or spoon the jam from the dish! No plastic water bottles and drinks served by the pool are in good quality re-useable polycarbonate glasses. The hotel is not huge or impersonal but really intimate and homely. We were mightily impressed. How to manage a quality hotel without the main kitchen must be a combination of real team work and ingenuity. It all worked so well. We were all inclusive and the drinks were of a high quality. You can try the whole range of Madeiras from the bar, we loved the Sercial (dry). G&T's were Gordons, what's not to like? Well done to the staff with a special mention to Michaela and the indefatigable Yvonne. This was our seventh visit to Madeira and our first to Four Views Oasis but I and certain that we will be back.…
Just back from a really relaxing week spent at the four views hotel the food was great with lots to choose from, the staff are very friendly and helpful we stayed in an upgraded room with sea views over the pool to distant islands, it was quiet which suited us perfectly, the hotel leads onto a promenade roughly 1m long and a pebble beach which intensifies the sound of the crashing waves, theres a heated indoor pool and gym if required, possibly too quiet for some but it was January although the weather was perfect averaging around 20 degrees but cool enough at night to get a good sleep
