Just left the hotel this morning. Overall I had a lovely stay here with some cons. Let's start with the pros: Area: Canico is a cute, quiet area. There is a small Spar grocery store nearby as well as many restaurant options in walking distance. Beware, there some SERIOUS hills. If you're gonna walk, wear sneakers. A quick taxi can...

I have rated the hotel 'excellent' as all areas were spotless and rooms were spacious, comfortable and cleaned daily. All staff were incredibly polite and helpful and the hotel has fabulous views over the sea. The hotel provides pool towels for guests and both the outdoor and indoor pools and pool areas are extremely well maintained and staff regularly tested...

Hote is situated on the romantic rocky shore. We took a room with see view, and that made ouers days! Every morning and evening we saw this space of blue ocean. Hotel is clean, rooms huge, kitchen good equipmented. Food (halfboard) cold and warm as a buffet. Free drinks just in the morning. Cons : not very elegant bathroom with...

Booked 7 nights at the Rocamar, but three hotel work together and we were actually in the Cali's de Oliver's. Quieter here I think, which suited us with a great pool for our nine year old. Very safe. Staff very friendly. Ate at the steakhouse on site two nights, not the cheapest, but an amazing view and good service. Lots...

It was our first trip to Madeira so didn't know what to expect as to the standard of hotels. This is part of a 3 hotel group and you can use all facilities in all 3. We arrived mid afternoon and were quickly registered and given a key and room allocation, 601. Top floor which turned out there was only...

One of 3 adjoining hotels along the cliff edge and you can use facilities of all 3. We were in Cais da Oliveira, nice room, modern and clean with a balcony and sea view. Reception and breakfast next door at Rocamar. Excellent buffet style breakfast and we sat on big terrace each morning outside overlooking the water. Lots of steps...

The Hotel Cais da Oliveira is one of three Hotels that are close together. All the Hotels share the same amenities. Very quiet resort, just outside of the main city of Funchal. Paid extra for a sea view, which was well worth the extra. The Hotel has it's own bus that goes into Funchal three times daily, but you have...

We stayed in Cais da Oliveira one week in Jan 2016. The hotel seemed to be quite empty because it almost felt like we had the whole place only for us. Which was great for us. There is a nice pool area (cool water this time of year), and other sunbathing areas also in the connected hotels Roca Mar and...

Stayed in a 'garden view' room for 3 people. Pretty much as expected from the reviews on here. Overall I would say it was good value because of the great location of the hotel (and its siblings Royal Orchid and Roca Mar). Breakfast was taken at Roca Mar and was a bit busy but on a fine day it's possible...
