My husband and I stayed here a few months back and it was truly an incredible place to stay! Gorgeous hotel, set in a beautiful location. The pool and spa were incredible. We really enjoyed the restaurant as well and the breakfast. I highly recommend anyone to stay here!

This is a beautifully designed hotel and spa. The facilities are very good. Staff very friendly and most are conversant in English. Food very good. Breakfast was well patronised with wide variety of food. The bar had some entertainment of an evening but was never very busy. I've no idea where everyone went as there are not a lot of restaurants/bars close by. Pool and surrounding area was clean with sun loungers but in the height if the season they perhaps provide more than in January (hopefully). The only downside (which we did know about when booking) was that the hotel is a bus ride away from Funchal and if ever we returned to Madeira, we would stay nearer to the capital. All in all, we did have a very good holiday.

Madeira is breath-taking in its beauty combined with a most comfortable climate. The Galo Resort is large with many resources. We stayed in the Galosol Hotel. The accommodations were new and the room organised very well. Our view from our patio/veranda looking out over the Infinity Pool and the ocean was stunning. The Dining Room buffet was much above average; each evening featured a different menu which contributed to our enjoyment of the meals. The Lounge on the cliff face over the ocean accessed by an elevator was a favourite haunt after a long day of hiking; Happy Hour drinks were very reasonable. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and eager to help. Access to Funchal by the 155 bus was easy and comfortable. We have nothing negative to say; our experience at the Resort was excellent.…

Awesome day, evening spent at the exquisite Hotel Galomar. From exceptional staff at checkin, state of the art amenities, fine dining, bar, breakfast venues, spa facilities, and not to mention the vistas into the Atlantic ocean. Simply a breathtaking resort that warrants 5 Stars.

Been there and sorry to say, it's not warm enough. Pools are heated, but outside temperature is too low and it's windy. But we loved it anyway.
