Found the room confortable for this old-fashioned hotel. Bathroom was very basic but very cleaned. Buffet breakfast is ok and we also enjoyed very much their lunch and dinner, both buffet. Althought, It is not worthy a 4 stars anymore, we spent a relaxing time at this hotel.

Rooms kept nice and clean but no air-con which didn't bother us as it was winter. Plenty of hot water. Food was excellent although hot breakfast didn't have much of variety it was good quality great fresh bread and fruit. Dinner was very good with plenty of fish meat and fresh salad lots of very naughty cakes. We didn't stay...

Easyjet has placed us at this hotel due to cancelling our flights caused by weather conditions. I am from Madeira and i've always heard that this USED to be a nice hotel where some madeiran families used to spend their holidays. I think they must have been awarded 4 star hotel 20 years ago. This hotel is very dated. We...

The hotel is in the side of the mountain. The coach had to...

Rooms clean (but noisy), good maid service; overpriced safe (cash only); sea view an exageration, drink facilities non-existent internet facilities very poor. One of the worst Receptions ever experieced. Half-board. Meals, on the whole, poor - not hot, "institutional". Not enough hot choices. Salads good. Over-priced.

We stayed at this hotel the 3rd week in August. We really enjoyed our stay, we found the food fine, the staff mostly OK, some very good. The pool and pool bar great. During the day or evening, we never had an unreasonable wait for drinks. The hotel is not the most attractive from the outside but has wonderful views...
