The Almendra y el Gitano is paradise! It was definitely worth the detour from Granada! Angel and his staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful and nice. They went out of their way to make us feel like at home. We stayed three nights but would have loved to stay an entire week. The hotel is surrounded by colorful hillsides, spectacular sunsets,...

We stayed only one night and enjoyed it very much. After a long drive in desert looking Almeria, I was not expecting to find anything green. As we arrived, we found ourselves surrounded by a beautiful green yard making a contrast to dry mountain landscape. So I understand why people call this place as "an oasis". The room was spacious...

This is such a great get-away- from-it-all place . With only five rooms you are never competing for space around the pool or in the spacious grounds. Loly was so helpful, offering to do laundry for us even though it is not listed as a facility. She went out of her way to make our stay relaxing and recommended places...

The owner of this place is a genious. A luxury retreat in this desertic territory a few miles from unique beaches. The place is world class. small, boutique. Completely advisable. we had a great time and the owner did anything to accomodate us. 5 stars!

We stayed here for one night..... What a treat!,,, Perfect stop over before you get to airport. Will definitely go again. Tranquil setting!! Fantastic setting for pool and swings around..... Lovely places to have a quick drink and soak the quietness. The owners and designers got this completely right. Magical at dusk and evening

Angel and Loly are perfect hosts. Their recommendations were great and Amgel's restoration of a ruin is superb. Very comfortable, relaxing and calm. I would recommend this place and area to everyone. Thank you Angel and Loly.

We stayed two nights in May and it was wonderful. We had the panoramic room with hot tub. For a Casa Rural it was really special. Fabulous views, lovely comfortable bed and huge shower. The breakfast was excellent and you could go to the kitchen to make tea or coffee. The only thing that would have improved would have been...

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute! The casa rural has it all: splendid views, we had a very nice and clean room with a big terrace, we saw a beautiful sunset in the morning, had a good breakfast with plenty of choice, and the last night we had quite an amazing dinner with lots of different...

Stylish and quiet hotel which feels remote, but is very accessible. We stayed 3 nights in El Gitano with wonderful views looking down the valley. 7km drive down the track to Cala del Plomo, but a better beach is Cala de Enmedio which is a 20 minute walk from del Plomo - much cleaner and quieter and we often had...

We chose this casa rural because it looked like away from everything (and because of the jacuzzi). Before going we were advised that we would be alone, as it was low season and there were no other guests, perfect for us. We went by car (mandatory as it's a 10min drive from civilisation) and had no trouble finding it using...
