We stayed in March, so we're unable to take advantage of the lovely pool and half tennis court. The location of the hotel is fabulous and it is well worth paying the extra for a seafront room. It was a bonus to be able to park onsite (for a charge) The rooms look to be recently renovated - they are...

Stayed two days (out of season) in a room with a small balcony overlooking the sea. Spotlessly clean; efficient, helpful staff; room seems to have been updated recently - nicely designed and furnished. And the view... well, what a view. Worth paying the few quid extra for a room out front, if you can. The pool area is very nice...

We spent two nights at Playa Sol and highly recommend this 4* hotel. Front desk checkin was quick, parking is very limited, so request in advance. Based on prior TA reviews, reserve red room 104 with large balcony overlooking bay of Cadaques. Perfect! Excellent included breakfast, bar service by Louis, and easy walking access to town and restaurants. Room is...

Three adult women traveling the Costa Brava. We loved Hotel Playa Sol. Our room faced the water, had a terrific view of the bay and town and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony during our leisure time. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. (There is also a large bathtub, if you prefer.) Garage parking is an...

My wife and I take two or three trips a year to Europe. We like to stay in cities or towns located on the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Adriatic Sea, or rivers and lakes, and stay in waterfront hotels. On a recent trip this year, we spent five nights in Collioure, France, at the Hotel Les Caranques. Collioure is a...

Cadaques is incredibly beautify and the hotel is perfect, next to the water front with a gorgeous view of the bay and all the sea front activities. The hotel is new and very comfortable and casual chic. Most of the common parts of the hotel have lovely view of the sea and its it very nicely furnished in a light...

The only thing I regret is not staying here longer on a trip from the Languedoc to Barcelona. Clearly off the beaten path but not too bad if you take the road in from Fiqueres through Roses. Gorgeious seaside town that we can imagine is packed in height of summer. By end of October restaurants were getting hard to find....

We very much enjoyed our one-night stay at Playa Sol in a “double facing the sea comfort large terrace” room. That lengthy name translated into a renovated room (104) on the first floor (i.e., the floor above the lobby and entrance) across a narrow street from the harbor with a beatiful view of the water and the town. The center...

Great hotel at a fantastic location. We also recommend paying extra for the rooms with balconies and views to the sea. Unfortunately we got sick the night we arrived and weren't able to enjoy Cadaqués and the area around it as much as we wished, but the staff at the hotel did everything to help us and make us feel...
