The hotel located in a great location near the ocean, our comfy rom on the 5th floor with a balcony had a perfect view of the beach an the ocean. The breakfast buffet was ok, nothing special. Just across the street was excellent restaurant for dinner. The staff was ok, very good housekeeping from the maids.

The hotel is literally across the street from the beach so the location is amazing. The rest not so much. I stayed alone, my room was so small that one could barely walk around the bed. The bed had a crappy, soft mattress killing my back and also it was not attached to the head of it and quite light weight so with each movement it moved around in the tiny room. As there was no other place to sit down this was very uncomfortable as when reading with my back to the wall, i had to stand up and push back the bed all the time. Everything is old fashioned but my room was clean - apart from one day when after the cleaning i have found blonde hair in my bathroom - and i am dark haired. The breakfast and dinner are terrible, i stayed for a week but skipped dinner after seeing the offering from the third night. They buy the cheapest from everything, pile it up and let it get fully cold. At breakfast you get nescafè from a machine, the juices also come from a machine and you can see first the sirup going into you glass then water. Of course at their bar you can pay for proper coffee. Meat tasted bad at dinner and even if things were overcooked they still managed to dry them out as well. In the bathroom there are no racks for the towels, you can only use the door handle to hang them. The same applies to the terrace, nothing to hang your beach towel. For almost one day there was no hot water. I stayed on the side of the building where the hotel next to it has its ventilation system - so you need to get used to the sound if you want some fresh air. The Pool was not too nice either.i would recommend it only if you are really on a tight budget and only the location counts.

Booked direct through hotel website, sea view room, half board, received free wifi and complimentary glass of Cava from the bar. It was cheaper doing it that way than through any of the other sites. At a cost of less than 55€ per night for two I wasn't expecting 5* however I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and welcoming, spoke fluent English and worked extremely hard. The room was an adequate size for two - single beds but easily pushed together - plenty of storage space, fantastic air con and shower, spotless bed linen changed every other day, fluffy white towels, changed every day, fair size balcony with table chairs and lovely sea view all in all clean and comfortable. The only negative was that there is no kettle or fridge and there was a drainage smell in the bathroom, but not overpowering. In fact I found this a problem throughout Calella so perhaps this was unavoidable? Breakfast was plentiful with different options every day. Dinner too had lots of variety each day and was delicious. No complaints at all. Bar was cheaper than most restaurants and bars in the town and stayed open until late. There was very little entertainment, Flamenco dancing on Tuesday and karaoke on Friday, other than that there was background music that wasn't intrusive whilst having a relaxing drink on one of the terraces. We didn't use the pool so cannot comment although other guests seemed pretty happy with it. The hotel is close to everything so for the price, location and service you can't go wrong. I would definitely stay again.

Honestly where to begin, room was tiny, 2 single beds for me and my girlfriend.... Then it was dirty, wore sandals to not get anything on my feel the whole time, bedsheets slightly dirty, bathroom small. No wifi in the rooms unless you pay 10 euros, free in public areas however going down to eat could not connect to wifi at all. Imagine living in 2019 and not being able to access internet- oh wait Hotel Internacional. My girlfriend wanted to borrow an iron but none in the room, had to borrow one from reception and that was even not there a couple of times to use. Also buffet pretty questionable and them having the cheek to charge 2 euros for water. Then being on first floor and having the bar underneath us was not very good, loud music in evenings preventing us from sleeping. Swimming pool area small and dirty also. If you want to go to Calella visit because it is a lovely place and Barcelona 1hr away via train. But do not have the misfortune of staying in Hotel Internacional. There are nicer hotels in the area by far.
