Old facility in need of upgrade. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. For sure not warm and welcoming. Breakfast ok but very basic. No gym Good restaurant, but very expensive (all starters over 22 euros). Spacious room with view
I have been going to Sa Punta for 35 years. The accomodation (more recent) is pleasant and modern, very comfortable, we had a pool view room with a terrace; peaceful. Would recommend weekday visits as noise can be transmitted from other rooms. We stayed three nights, ate brakfast and lunch or dinner each day. The main restaurant provided quality cuisine combined with excellent staff, some known for more than 20 years. Breakfast was buffet service, excellent quality and very good value. Saludos to the Sres. Font
Sa Punta was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Costa Brava. Our room was large with a terrace overlooking the gardens and the Mediterranean Sea. The bathroom was large with lots of counter space and good shower. There was a ton of storage space in the room. The room was very quiet as well. The gardens and pool area were perfectly maintained. We ate in the indoor and outdoor restaurants during out stay. The pool is large but not heated so we did not spend much time in it. The breakfast buffet was large with many local specialties. We were also able to have eggs cooked to order. Our two dinners at the restaurant were exceptional. Very good service, perfectly prepared meals and reasonably priced wines. The beach is about a 10 minute walk. The signs on the road led us astray and we headed in the wrong direction but had a nice walk looking at the cliff houses. Eventually we found the beach and it was very nice. Overall our stay was an excellent experience. We highly recommend.…
Yesterday walked in Hotel Su Punta for a coffee and a snack. We had 2 coffees, and 2 sandwiches. One cold cheese sandwich and one toasted sandwich cheese/ham. (And we are speaking basic sandwiches, absolutely nothing special) The bill, 34€ When I asked if the bill was correct, the waiter told me that he would get the manager. According to the manager; Josep Font - there was indeed a mistake. The cold sandwich was 6€ overcharged. (Can happen although a sorry would be nice) The other hot sandwich was still correctly priced. When I asked why the difference was so much? I meen, 8 euro is expensive but 14 is crazy. According to Josep Font the 6 euro price differences was built up to the fact that they had to switch on the toaster. A lot of electricity was used and therefor the price was 14€ (Yes, he was dead serious) All together we payed 28€ for 2 coffees and 2 basic sandwiches, madness! Looking to all the staff wearing well ironed suites, the electricity bill must be going trough the roof there…
We stayed here for two nights as part of a cycling holiday round Coastal Catalonia. A very enjoyable stay, the tasting menu at dinner was excellent, very comfortable rooms and facilities, the swimming pool great for a decent swim and the staff excellent.
