It's a very clean friendly place, the owner and his staff were permanently attending to guests and checking if everything was OK. The restaurant offers lovely food and wines at very reasonable prices with seating on the terrace or indoors.

I hiked from Interlaken to Spiez and arrived hot, sweaty and tired to a nice 3-star located by the lake. My single room was as large as many double rooms and every thing was clean, functional and comfortable. The design was charmingly retro, leading me...More

We do not speak German, only English. Would this be a problem? We are planning to arrive Sept. 28-Oct. 3rd and would like to rent a room with a beautiful view of both the lake and mountains. Do you have availability? Also, I am unable to do a lot of walking because of an illness. I am not disabled, but am worried that the walk up the hill to the train station would be difficult. Do you have buses or a shuttle? We would be taking short train trips 4 of the 5 days we are there. Thank you so much for any advice. Tom and Susan
