My husband and I have traveled all over the world, and have never found a more beautiful inn. We stumbled in on a rainy summer night (no reservation) and were thrilled. The owner could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. We loved our room - looked out on the castle. There are stunning walks right from the property....

I stayed here for 3 nights in the beginning of June. The hotel is in on the top of the little village of Tarasp, in a beautiful little square. As soon as I walked inside I was offered a glass of white wine and was taken for a tour of the hotel. The owner, Mr. Pazeller couldn't have been more...

This was a storybook stay with all the best of Switzerland - Wonderfull hospitality, a totally charming and luxurious Inn set in a gorgeous mountain setting. The views in all directions were incredible, with the wildflower filled meadows sweeping up to high alpine peaks. The hamlet is tiny and the only sounds you hear outside are birds singing, distant waterfalls,...

I visited the Schlosshotel Chaste at the end of May 2015. It’s a boutique hotel located in the Engadine region of Switzerland. To reach the hotel, we drove about two and a half hours from Lucerne, one of the country’s centermost cities. Driving here was the ideal mode of transportation, as the views from Fluela Pass were breathtaking. The town...

Stayed at the lovely Schlosshotel Chaste in Tarasp for a week of summer hiking. This small family hotel is exceptionally well-run in the Swiss manner, and you can tell the Pazeller family puts their heart into it. Hotel: Traditional decor in centuries-old buildings long owned by owner's family. Immaculately clean from top to bottom, and I am fussy. The furniture...

We have been there seven times since 2009. The inn is family owned and run for four generations. One gets spoiled: nice people, fine kitchen, great rooms, very attentive service and beautiful surroundings in this location in the Lower Engadin. We found it worthwhile to pay a little extra for a junior suite, the additional space and comfort made the...

When my husband and I visited this wonderful family hotel/restaurant twelve years ago I knew I wanted to return again one day. In September we finally made it back. This lovely hotel is in the Engadine part of eastern Switzerland and this Relais et Chateau property is perfect for relaxation, exploration, and good food. We traveled by public transportation all...

This hotel, originally the guest house for the adjacent castle has been in the same family ownership since the 1500s, and the hotel provides free tickets to tour the impressive castle, which overlooks the valley. In classic Romansche Engadine style, the small hotel is lovely. It is a member of Relais et Chateau, which is reflected in its Michellin starred...

This converted and extended farmhouse captures the essence of the country, from the grazing cattle with cowbells next door, through the pine room details to the delicious food and warm welcome. Our room was large with the classic Swiss/German style split bed and dunas, embracing soft pillows, lounge, table and chairs as well as a coffee espresso machine. The bathroom...

We had an exceptional stay at the outstanding Schlosshotel Chaste which is located in a tiny and beautiful hamlet. Staff and family went above and beyond to accommodate every tiny need. The almost-forgotten feel of the Unter Engadine valley is nevertheless a perfect way to experience real Switzerland and would be ideal for family and walking holidays. I am tempted...
