This hotel-restaurant is directly on the Albula pass route an ideal place to have a rest and something to eat. Expect good but not gourmet food. The service was friendly and good. The review is about the restaurant and not the hotel

This hotel in tiny Preda (not far from Berguen) is located on the Albula/Bernina long distance hiking route and also along the Bernina Express route. It is just up from the railway station that sits at one end of the Albula tunnel. There was construction on the tunnel when we were there but it did not bother us. It has...

Near the station. With a good kitchen. Until 2017 there are constructions being done (a new tunnel for the train is being made), wich could cause some noise, but we did not hear a thing. The room was neat. Wifi did not work in the room, but it did in the restaurant area. If you stay here, make sure you...

We spent a long Easter weekend in the Preda Kulm Hotel. We are mountain addicts that were doing ski tours. And we felt at home here. Mountain addicts look for nice and well kept places with a friendly atmosphere, good and enough dinner, early breakfast (they start their days early), sandwiches and tea for the tours, "hot" coffee (with alcohol)...

If you like trains mountains and a cosy place to stay I can recomand this place/hotel. Since there is not a great choice we decided to book in advance. The booking process was very smothly, the staff was wellcoming us. Enjoy Gerstensuppe in the reataurant. Unfortunately no egg-omletts for breakfast.

We stayed here during a winter ski tour trip in March. The owner was incredibly helpful. They rang the hut we had come down from and the ski lift to arrange a lift up the next morning and drove four of us, plus all our kit, to the Bergun lift at 7.30 am in the morning. Breakfast was the best...

After hiking from Bergun, the sun terasse was perfect for a cold beer and watching the trains go by. The rooms were very clean and modern with h/dryer, LCD Sat TV and great views of the mountains. Nice hard beds too. Fyi, there is no lift. The staff were very friendly. The meals were also perfect at breakfast and dinner....

An excellent hotel to stay in - just be carefull lunch time can be extremely busy during weekends in the restaurant. Also keep the train schedule at hand because you can then maximise your taboggan runs down. Just make a note of the last train up to Preda otherwise it is a long climb up at midnight.

This was the second time we have been to this hotel. the first time was in winter in December 2009 for the Preda to Bergun toboggan run. We liked it so much we decided to come back in the summer as we are keen gardeners and wanted to see the Alpine flower meadows which begin at the doorstep. Both trips...
