The Briarcroft may not be everyone's cup of tea but it was mine. I was not sure at first but the place grew on me after a while. Tucked away in a quiet road in Goole I didn't know quite what to expect but I was encouraged to see that the local Lions club used it for their meetings so...

I have already written a positive review of the Briarcroft, however after every visit I get a stream of emails asking me to review them again. Well you asked for it. At my last visit I think I got the "second" crew as the usual lady was not there to greet me. The room was again comfortable and quiet although...

Thank you for leaving your review, unfortunately we are not in control of the emails you receive requesting a review, these are generated by the company you booked through, in this case booking.com, we can only apologise about this. I am a little surprised at your comment regarding your breakfast request, however having looked closely I have found you had...

I have stayed at the Briarcroft twice now whilst visiting family. There is a friendly welcome hotel lovely and warm. Heating on all night if required. Room was lovely and clean. Hospitality tray and toiletries. Excellent value for money. Cooked breakfast was lovely. Will visit again.

The Briarcroft is on a quiet residential street in Goole and is very clean, good sized rooms and friendly but not intrusive staff. Breakfast is very good. Value for money, I will stay there again for sure.

Second time we have used this hotel and it will not be the last. We come over from France, and are made to feel so welcome. The breakfast alone makes the trip worthwhile! Very easy to get out and about, we used the train every day - lovely stay even though it rained, rained, rained.

Pleasant stay with lovely staff and a clean, functional room. Decent location too, not noisy and it is close to places to eat, supermarkets and bars. Would stay here again. Good value too, and there is a place to buy bits like razors at reception

My second time at the Briarcroft and unlikely to be the last. The single room is clean and well stocked and quite quiet even though it faces the road. The breakfast is good value and the staff are lovely. Nothing negative here!

because of family reasons we just could stay for one night, had something to eat in the Viking and then had an early night because we had to get up early the following morning, the room was ok and the beds were great

Lovely hotel, lovely staff and beautiful scenery. The room was spacious and vet comfortable. The staff was very happy and helpful. Breakfast was good standard. After a long drive to Scotland, it was a welcome end to the driving. It was a work visit but I hope to return again to really enjoy the area.

We chose the Briarcroft for one night as we had a family funeral to attend, the hotel was very accommodating as we were travelling from Essex and were arriving early morning, our rooms were ready for our early checking. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and reasonably priced with lovely breakfast. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We...
