Came here on 1st April for Gin Afternoon tea to celebrate my friends birthday. I booked over the phone, had to call twice as the young lady who answered the phone didn't say it was the Lowther Hotel and only said her name (which I can't remember now) I thought I had the wrong number so called it again and...

We recently had the pleasure in a visit to the Lowther Hotel for afternoon tea with a difference, I love Gin afternoon tea, and it was gorgeous. The food was delicious, the service was perfect and the variety of gins went perfectly with the food. We were given a lovely presentation speech on each Gin as it was served and...

This is my third stay at the Lowther and as always it was a very comfortable nights stay. The hotel is quiet and full of charm . There is so much history in Goole and at the Lowther . Staff are friendly and helpful as ever . Just wish Goole could attract more businesses as it would really help this...

At the end of the day, having stayed in any hotel, when asking myself how I would rate it, the key question I ask myself is "Were I to come here again, would I choose to stay in this hotel?". To be honest, having seen the area in which it was located, booked in, and unpacked, the answer would have...

Room although small was spotless and warm. Location isn't the best but the area does seem to be on the up. Breakfast took a long time to come approx 30 mins, also the dinning room felt cold. It took a while on Saturday night to get to sleep. Sadly it was noisy from either their own bar or the bar...

We hired a room for a wake. The catering was lovely, the staff very helpful and the cost very reasonable. The management were very sympathetic to our needs and flexible in their approach. Would definitely recommend.

I have checked in in the evening, just before closing the bar. Despite of that fact the staff was very nice and friendly and I had a great evening. The room was small, but very cosy with nice view to the docks. Only disadvantage I've noticed was the dirty toilet. I would stay in that hotel again.

Took 3 friends for a birthday meal. I am aware of the historical importance of this hotel and was keen to see it. I knew a couple of people who had eaten lunch there and said it was good, but didn't know anyone who had eaten an evening meal. when we got there the receptionist took us to our table,...
