Arrived at Meadow Cottage at about 6.50 and were very impressed by the house and gardens, that is until we got through the front door. We had already received a message from the Owner asking us to arrive after 5.30pm but between 5.30-7.00pm would be better for her..On entering we were met by a pleasant girl asking us to pay the...

Initially, after booking we had to call to discuss the fact that we would not be arriving until 2330hrs at night and ask if there was any chance we could 'Self Check in'. The lady on the telephone was VERY helpful, explaining everything, sending a text with instructions for entry and even a taxi number for us. She also explained...

Thank you for your review of my property. When guests advise us of a late arrival, and indeed we ask them to do so, as you know we give detailed instructions and ask them to consider other guests. Unfortunately not all guests advise us of their travel plans making it difficult to supervise their behaviour. On the night you stayed...

Nice but a few annoying inconveniences. On the website check in was stated as being from 5:30pm until 7pm, so having turned up slightly earlier I did not expect for the hotel to be closed so had to wait in my car for half an hour. Partially my fault for not pre-arranging but felt it was a bit odd that...

We do ask guests every day for their arrival time to adjust staffing, you had confirmed arrival between 6 and 7 pm. This fits in with out published arrival time. I have to collect my daughter from school so indeed the property is not staffed at 5, when you arrived, nor in the mornings for the same reason. I am...

I am pleased that you found the building satisfactory. Unfortunately as you arrived before our published check in time I did need to rush off to shop for fresh breakfast goods, which I do each day and collect my daughter from school. We provide a good selection of fresh breads breads, cereals, fruit, yogurts, teas, coffees and juice.

Travelling on my own this B&B felt comfortable and secure, despite not seeing anyone else except when I arrived. I had a great nights sleep and there was lots of choice at breakfast. It was lovely to be welcomed by the dogs and they stood expectantly by the front door waiting for me to throw their stick before I went...

Beautiful building with all original features, rooms are nicely decorated very cosy and warm. There were two gorgeous freindly labradors in the garden always wanting you to throw their ball or a stick they were so adorable. Overall I had a very nice stay definitely worth the money. Very good value. Only issue is its quite isolated and you would...

Delightful cottage B+B, comfortable rooms and very comfy bed ! Self service breakfast which was a bit unusual but perfectly acceptable. Lovely views and beautifully peaceful. Nice to have a good selection of coffee and tea in the room too. Just a shame missing a hairdryer - would have been handy ! Wifi in the reception lobby was useful too.

Stayed here after a wedding close by, the accommodation was arranged by another family member. We arrived late at night so didn't meet any of the staff. Our room was lovely, full of character with thick walls, sloping ceilings/floors, small windows. It was well heated and the window keeps most of the noise out (there was a group on the...

Like others, I booked on a whim as I was flying early from Bristol. They made it very easy and full breakfast facilities were available on a self service basis. The house itself is beautiful with wonderful books and crannies, full of character. It was a shame to leave so quickly and would definitely be a great place to stay...

Lovely rooms. Very quaint. Clean and tidy. Given a key code to get in to the property as we arrived at 10pm. Not sure what time breakfast was in the morning. We had to leave by 6:30 am and there was no sign of anyone serving a breakfast. Seemed more like we were staying in someone's house than an up...

Thank you for your review, it's good to hear guests have enjoyed their stay. We provide a self service breakfast for guests, especially for those leaving early. Most B&B's are people's homes and I am pleased you felt comfortable in mine.
