We stayed at The Bakery on Friday and Saturday and were looking for a comfortable, peaceful break away. Happily, this is exactly what we got. Our room (a superior double) was one of two rooms to the side of The Bakery and it was beautiful. The underfloor heating was lovely, although the weather was so good that it wasn't really...

My wife and I booked this hotel for a last minute getaway. The check in was very quick and staff were very nice and helpful. The room was decorated extremely tastefully, no shortcuts on cost. Room was spotless. We had a meal at the restaurant which was very nice and good value for money.(three courses for £30 per person). would...

11 of us had Christmas Dinner at the Bakery. This is the first time ever we have chosen to eat at a restaurant as a family and did so because it was my husbands 60th birthday. We had an absolutely lovely time. The food was excellent with many of us choosing the vegetarian main course as a change to Turkey...

Great night, seeing lots of family. Hotel was wonderful, lovely rooms, I think we had the biggest room! The food was amazing, couldn't fault it, and then breakfast the next morning, superb! Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely superb in all respects and I could not fault it. Really comfortable and well designed rooms, top quality food, and a nice bar area if you fancy being a bit more sociable. Andy the owner is extremely professional and a lovely guy too.

After reading good reviews on the Bakery I decided to book our family Christmas dinner here. BIG mistake and devastated that I did! Heavily over priced, portions were tiny, and if you told me I'd just eaten Tesco special range off my plate it wouldn't have surprised me in the slightest. Staff were unknowledgeable about the drinks menu, food menu...

Visited The Bakery in a party of 8 for our Christmas dinner. Very dissatisfied all round with portion sizes and the effort made by majority of the staff. Manager especially acted as though he was doing us a favour by being open Christmas Day. Food had some potential but in general it felt mass produced and the venue itself was...

Beautiful building in the centre of the village. Our room was on the corner of the building with 180 degree views including to the village green. Room was comfortable with a good shower room. Very quiet and relaxing. Restaurant was very good and breakfast was tasty. Good beer in the bar. Car park at rear.

We visited as a family - 5 year old and under 1 - staff were brilliant wit us all. Food was excellent and could be changed to suit our needs. Also helped that it's located in a lovely village with wine experts and a taste of France outside. How lovely.

I have stayed here a couple of times and cannot rate it highly enough. The building itself is really quirky. The first time I stayed I was in a room upstairs which was beautiful - HUGE with lots of windows and the second time I was in the new part of the building with a little outside balcony area. The...
