Had a great two-night stay here with my significant other. It is very rustic, which can be a positive or a negative depending on what you are looking for. ROOMS - There are no TVs in the cabins. Only 2 cabins come equipped with Air conditioners. We stayed in one of the AC cabins. Comfortable bed. Refrigerator available. They provide...

Sandcastle is the small hotel associated with the famous Soggy Dollar Bar. It's a remarkable little place for its magnificent locations. The mornings and evenings are peaceful and quiet like no other place on earth, and the afternoons are filled with daytrippers and sailors. 'Tons of good people watching! The staff at Sandcastle is dependably friendly and welcoming. We love...

Im torn writing this review.I was totally pumped to get to Sandcastle for an entire YEAR- but I would not go back. A day trip to SDB for sure but I wouldn't stay over. And I tell you the "negatives" along with the "positives" because I wish someone had written about it before so I could be prepared. The positives:...

The villas are almost on the water. The rooms are not very big but very clean. The view of white bay is awesome. Plus the soggy dollar bar is right here all you have to do is walk outside and you are there to get another pain killer. What more could you ask for.

Wow, we had a great time in JVD. The staff, especially Claire and Winsome, at the Soggy dollar & Sandcastle were great. We enjoyed cottage #4 and we could hear the ocean waves from bed. Roosters wake you up a bit early but it was quiet once the day trippers/yachts leave around 5pm. Note cottage 4 has 3 ceiling fans,...

We stayed here for our honeymoon in one of the ocean front cottages. It was everything we wanted and more. The Soggy Dollar bar fills up with the boat people during the day and makes for great conversations. But the evenings and mornings are the best. You have the bay all to yourself. Swam and snorkeled with sea turtles totally...

We stayed for a week in a garden cottage (no a/c). Checked in on Monday afternoon after a full day of car, shuttle buses, planes, taxi's, boat ferry's...it was a journey. Once we arrived at SC, Claire met us and showed us to our home for 7 nights. She was very friendly and explained how things worked, how and when...

We usually charter a sailboat for our BVI but trips but decided to stay on island. We rented their AC room with meal plan. I have nothing, absolutely nothing to say bad about the entire stay other than we had to leave. They have service and systems down to a science. The property is so well maintained and they thought...

Super-friendly people, nice cabanas, and a beautiful beach make this place a great destination. But add to that the unique Soggy Dollar Bar where the "Painkiller" was invented (the unofficial official drink of BVI). The Soggy Dollar is also a perfect destination for day boaters. Keep that in mind when you see the paper money hanging on a piece of...

I have been to the Soggy Dollar bar over 15 years ago. My wife and I came by boat for a day trip and relaxed and drank Painkillers (their signature drink of Rum, Creme De Cocoa, Orange and Pineapple Juice, topped with fresh Nutmeg.) I remember thinking that someday I would make it back there and actually stay on the...
