What an amazing find for us this year! We have been to Jost 3 times now and this was fantastic. This is our first time staying in Great Harbor and it was the best. We have eaten at Ali Baba’s in previous years but never stayed. They have 3 identical rooms available currently. Price is a little different depending on the view but they are all very well done. You would never know there was damage from Irma. The owners are some of the nicest, warm hearted people you will ever meet. We spent a lot of time just hanging out with them and sharing stories. We had another couple come for 4 nights of the trip and stay there also. Rooms are super clean, views are amazing, food is fantastic and it is very affordable for the island. Highly highly highly recommend. Can’t wait to be back.

We spent 3 nights here in March 2018, in the ground floor room. (We’d planned to stay in the ocean view room but Irma took out the window and they hadn’t been able to replace it.) Irma also interfered with the AC (which was scheduled to be repaired shortly after we left; we didn’t miss it) and the TV (which we also didn’t miss). There was still a view of the water off our little personal porch. The room and ensuite bath were clean and comfortable and the ceiling fan was fine for climate control. A little small, but plenty of storage and we spent most of our time outdoors anyway. Nicely located for taxi pickup and wandering the beach. Generally peaceful. Lovely hosts, welcoming and entertaining. There aren’t a lot of options for staying on Jost itself, especially at the lower end of the price range. Booking was easily arranged via email and a phone call. I would stay here again in a minute if we ever go back!

Our family of 4 stayed at Ali Baba's and were so happy with the accommodations, the friendliness of our hosts, and the overall peacefulness of Jost Van Dyke. The beds and crisp cotton sheets were amazingly comfortable, the bathrooms and everything so clean and modern. The convenience of walking across the street to the beach was super and there was always people walking along. Since it was our first time on the island Ali Baba and Urinthia were incredibly helpful in getting us a taxi if needed. We truly wanted for nothing and can't wait to go back!~

There are three rooms here. We were in the upstairs room with the ocean view. If it is available, it is worth it for the porch and view. We sat on the front porch in the morning and after a day at the beach, just enjoying the view of Great Harbour. The room itself is tight. However, they provide quite a bit in that small space, including a small futon to sit on, a dresser and a flat screen TV. The room was tastefully done and comforting. The bathroom was the right size for two people and the towels were wonderful. Everywhere else we have stayed in a tropical climate, the towels tend to have this damp, musty smell. Not these towels, these were fluffy with no such scent. They also provided separate towels to take to the beach. What I liked about the location was that we could grab a cab over to White Bay and swim for the day, have a cocktail at One Love or The Soggy Dollar, and then take a cab back. And at night, we could just wander downstairs to the restaurant at Ali Baba's, or one of the other restaurants close by and then to Foxy's for some music and walk home when we were ready. We didn't need a car to stay here. The only things missing, in my opinion, was a kettle/coffee maker so I could make a cup of coffee or hot tea to enjoy on the porch before heading down for breakfast. Pretty minor though considering you can just walk downstairs to the restaurant for a cup to bring back. Also missing was a WiFi signal, however, you can just walk down the road to Foxy's, have a cocktail and use their WiFi. Urinthia, who I worked with to arrange the room and checked us in once we were there, was great. She was easy to work with and provided us with answers as needed, but didn't hover or overwhelm us with information. We appreciate that at small establishments. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again. And, if we had more time, I would've sampled more food from the restaurant onsite. We had a couple meals and everything was fresh made and delicious!

The location in Great Harbour is perfect if you enjoy a bit of nightlife! Easy taxi ride to White Bay for the day and then stay where all the action is at night! If you stay on WhiteBay it is hard to find somewhere to eat or play in the evenings. I've stayed at most locations on the island and since they opened this has been our go to spot. The rooms are lovely with high wood ceilings and extremely clean. The front room has an ocean view with a cozy balcony. The rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning.
