My wife and I have been visiting B&B's throughout the U.S. for over 30 years and The Chestnut Hill B&B is one of the best we've ever visited. The property was recently 100% renovated so the entire building has the latest modern amenities while also maintaining its old historic charm. The decorating is impeccable and first class. The owners, Troy...

My boyfriend planned a weekend away for us at the Chestnut Hill B&B in Orange, VA. I had been extremely excited about it, but I had no idea what we were in for. As we drove up the driveway lined with gas-lit lamps, the beauty of the house took my breath away. Walking into the house it felt like we...

We just got back from our Anniversary weekend and I couldn't type this review fast enough. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a single thing that Kathleen and Troy did not anticipate. We had an incredible time. My research showed reviews that were very positive but I could not have even imagined how great it would be. Our...

We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful inn on so many levels. But, Kathleen and Troy are the primary reason that Chestnut Hill is such a tremendous delight! Their attention to every detail, the way they accommodate each guest and cater to their individual needs, and most noticably, their genuine warmth. We appreciate them for all of it and...

I booked a romantic getaway for my husband and I. Chestnut Hill was perfect. The inn was amazingly beautiful. The owners were friendly and professional. The food was the best we have ever eaten. Every detail was planned carefully. The full service was awesome. We will definitely come visit again. Chestnut Hill is an amazing experience.

Kathleen & Troy treated us like family! Comfortable and informal. The food was great and our whole stay was warm and inviting. We truly enjoyed our anniversary weekend at Chestnut Hill. Having never been to the Montpelier Hunt Races (or any other race for that matter) the day was a real treat. The set up on the rail was perfect!...

My husband and I decided to "stop by" on our return trip to Richmond, VA. Although the staff was making ready for its next guests, Kathleen, the owner, greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of her lovely property. You can trust what others are saying about Chestnut Hill. It is beautiful, updated with many amenities, warm and comfortable....

My husband and I had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast so we spent a long time researching B&B locations. Chesnut Hill turned out to be not only one of our best anniversary destinations but one of our all time favorite vacations. The House is absolutely gorgeous and its history makes its beauty that much more appreciable. Breakfast each...

My fiance and I first discovered Chestnut Hill in April 2011 when he was looking for a place to stay in Virginia wine country. He found Chestnut Hill on the Select Registry website, however, this B&B takes even those already high standards to a whole new level. Troy and Kathleen, the innkeepers, create a perfect experience and atmosphere. Not only...

I know that they have many weddings there... but I would not say it is secluded. It sits on a hill looking down to an intersection. It is however, very peaceful! There is horseback riding, vineyards, historical sights, and of course Monticello, (Thomas Jefferson's estate). It is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and if you go in November, you will see the tail end of the fall color spectrum. Definitely worth it!!!
