Holladay House is a historical Virginia home on the main thoroughfare of a Virginia town with great shops and some dining options. Lots of restaurants and worthwhile sites within a 15 minute car ride. Sharon was the ultimate hostess, and the daily breakfasts were superb. Complimentary wine, beer and other treats on premises during the day. Local vineyards, Madison's homestead...

Our guests have told us time and again how they love how we mix the historic and the modern in the inn. Add the ability to walk to those great shops and restaurants and a quick drive to even more sites, and voila! a great getaway may be had by all! Thanks for letting our future guests know all about...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this historical inn. Very large and comfortable room/suite accompanied by excellent breakfast. Innkeepers, Sharon and Sam, are great hosts who went all out to make our stay enjoyable! Look forward to returning for longer stay sometime soon.

We made plans with friends of ours to stay here and enjoy some of the wineries nearby. The Innkeeper (Sharon) provided us with free tasting passes for four different places, which we enjoyed using. We also enjoyed just sitting together and talking in the living room with a glass of wine. Breakfast was excellent, well prepared with local ingredients and...

There are a good number of wineries nearby and all of them are very different in their wine styles and tasting room styles. Talking with your group about what wine/experience you all wanted definitely helped me suggest wineries that would make your group happy :) And of course, the best way to follow up local wine-tasting is sipping some complimentary...

Holladay House is our new favorite B&B, and we cannot wait to return! Beautiful home in the center of a very walkable and clean, friendly southern town, Orange, Virginia. After a warm greeting from our host, Sharon, and a review of the very nice dining and living room areas, we were shown to our comfortable room (called Helen's Retreat) with...

Oh wow! Honored to not only make your Top 5, but be the top of your favorite B+B list! It was a pleasure to host you both here while in town for a family event. We do our best to spoil our guests with lovely amenities, cool temps in the blazing summer, quiet relaxation when needed, and a locally-sourced breakfast...

We were greeted warmly by Inn owner Sharon. We stayed in the Oak room and enjoyed beautiful luxurious sheets, gorgeous creams and soaps and plush towels. We were offered wine and beer and homemade cookies! Best of all was an incredible breakfast in the morning cooked by Sharon herself, and served by her very sweet father-in-law Darnell. Overall it was...

Thank you for such lovely comments about the details of this inn! We firmly believe all those "little" details add up to having that "first class" experience. Though, no one has called Darnell sweet before - maybe a ham, we've definitely called him a ham anyway :D We are glad your weary traveling bones enjoyed it's rest and rejuvenation here!

My husband and I stayed one night in the Oak Room and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning. The house is charming, very clean, well appointed, and in a perfect location. The hosts are friendly and we would definitely come back in the future.

This is a treasure of a B&B. You will feel warmly welcomed and cared for in a historic atmosphere of lovely (but sturdy) antiques, Holladay family stories, comfortable bed and delicious breakfasts. Sharon is the owner who makes everyone feel good due to her cheery disposition and ever ready to help attitude. The breakfasts were scrumptious...my fave was the crust-less...

We stayed at Holladay House's Oak Room for two nights while visiting Monticello and Montpelier, and loved its period feel and antique furniture.
