Our room was lovely however I was shocked on check in that we didn't get a king bed. Booking through booking.com didn't work as well as we had hoped. However our room was nice and modern, with basic facilities and Foxtel.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst exploring Kangaroo island. A great hotel with lovely garden setting villas outside. Bedroom, lounge/ kitchenette and bathroom. It's right by the ferry port for when you're coming home.
We booked a two bedroom villa for two nights. It was located in a garden setting right at the back. The room was ok but a little small if you have two teenage boys. The cooking facilities are basic (small fridge, microwave and two plate...More
Comfortable rooms, good service at reception. Just. Short drive up the hill from the ferry terminal, so good spot from the perspective of settling in after you arrive, and being on time when you leave. Nice and close to the pub too for an easy...More
Like many folk I guess we had been booked into the KI Seafront hotel because of its proximity to the ferry terminal. With hindsight somewhere more central in the island would have been preferable to reduce travel distances but not sure such places exist. We...More

Hi, I see you are staying one night only, that is a shame as it takes a lot longer than that to see most of the island. My advice is to rent a car, travel west to The Admirals Arch then east to Seal Bay and take tour on the beach among the Sea Lions. that will take most of the day. If you have time visit KI wildlife park where you can feed the 'roos and touch the koalas.
If you want a tour I think Kangaroo Island Exceptional Tours may be the way to go.
I think there are other operators but this seems to be about the best.
Whichever way you choose you will love the place.
