We had 2 rooms and they were able to accommodate a twin room for the boys in the courtyard. The bed and pillows were comfy and i loved showering in the old style bath tub. Our room the Martin opened out onto the verandah and I enjoyed drinking tea on the verandah while enjoying the views of the hill. It...

Our tour operator in the UK booked us in here for two nights over New Year. Not sure why they chose here but we ventured forth with an open mind. It is a boutique hotel, very quaint with rooms full of character. The restaurant was shut for a New Years Eve dinner so we ate in the bar. Very average...

Great location on Martinborough Square but accommodation and dining was disappointing. We've stayed in the past, this time in a garden suite. There was no privacy as patrons from the garden bar can sit anywhere in the garden and it's noisy day or night, patrons sitting right outside suite. The decor was tired, the lights didn't work the first night...

We have stayed and dined here in the past with no complaints, but this time was really disappointing. From the bar staff who where really under trained in the most simplest of tasks, to the restaurant staff who really should know how to serve food. They are trying to aim at an upmarket client with the menu and prices but...

We have had a lovely stay. After looking around town we are sure that we chose well. Our room was perfect - private, spacious & quiet! We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas and were very well looked after by the attentive staff. Christmas lunch was just lovely, thank you.

We were in a group of 7 ladies(well hardworking wine mums ) in Martinborough for Toast. Our rooms were really gorgeous, we were in rooms downstairs by the garden.. The price was higher though than we would like however I guess When Toast Martinborough is on they never have any trouble filling the rooms!! Our bed however was uncomfortable and...

We dined here 2 nights in a row - it was so good! Lovely setting and the young chef is inspiring - interesting food and fresh flavours, all cooked and presented very well. Good service all round. Thanks for great memories.

Very tired, nowhere near what we expected from a past visit in their restaurant. The room was adequate, just what you would expect from a grand old place. But when the soap dispenser did not work, it took 1 1/2 to get another one. When we used the few tissues in the box, it was not replaced, when asked for...

I had a wonderful dinner with my partner. It was without doubt the best dining experience I have ever had in the Wairarapa. The food was divine, cooked to perfection and the service was on point. Cant wait to come back.
