We stayed 1 night mid way on cycle trail. Arrived hot and tired and welcomed with bottles of water and glasses of ice. This is quite an old lodge that is in very good condition and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped communal kitchen with generous supplies of breakfast food, tea and coffee. Lovely family atmosphere. I have no...

Booked for accommodation for 12 people and had help with dining in the area from the motellier before we arrived. On arrival we were welcomed and shown very clean and tidy units and made to feel we were very welcome. The owners run this accommodation facility with pride and passion, just as you would hope to expect but are so...

Very friendly owners. Couldn't do more for you. It was a pleasure staying here. Place was nice and clean and tidy and very quiet. Well equipped communal kitchen just across from our room. Showers nice and hot. Beds comfy. Decor quite dated and not much lighting in the rooms but that didn't bother us as we were just there to...

Excellent value for money, central location, easy access to Kerikeri, Rawene, Opononi (beautiful beaches) and Tane Mahuta (Waipoua forest). You will be greeted warmly and made to feel at home. Although the furnishings are a little dated, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and there is a communal kitchen with all the amenities, which is really handy.

At the time I was staying renovations were going on so there was no food service or bar, just a bed for the night. As others have said this is dated 1970s and the renovations will be welcome. I had lights missing from my room and no iron or ironing board to freshen up a shirt in the morning. Take...

With some 1970s charm, plenty of space and a warm welcome, you can do a lot worse than staying here. To be fair, the highlight is absolutely the service. We were on a weekend cycling trip riding some of the Twin Coasts Cycle Trail and we absolutely delighted with the level of service we received here. The managers have established...

This place can be described as early 60s retro with some amazing features like the ancient radio cum light panel. I stayed in room 32 which had a queen and a single bed and was extremely spacious. A curious feature was that there was a small fridge in the room with fresh milk but no cups, saucers or tea. These...

Good sized room (which could fit 4 to 5 people comfortably) and bathroom with bath. Got a little cold during the night despite having a heater on. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Some noise at night from other guests. Overall satisfactory but maybe a bit overpriced for what you got.
