A friend attempted to work with the owners of this inn for a reunion weekend with 5 other women (including me), all military spouses. She explained the situation and that our plans were not quite nailed down due to several people engaged in overseas moves. As a result, she specifically asked about cancellation policies. She was never given a straight...

We have been trying to figure out a nice way to respond to this...and I think that the best way to explain our point of view is to use an experience we recently saw at a store... So you go into a department store, and their refund and exchange policies are outlined very clearly on a big sign hanging in...

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at High Meadows for 2 nights, taking advantage of a Living Social deal that we'd purchased. We loved it and would definitely recommend it to others and would happily return! The inn is charming. I loved the bright colors and eclectic furnishings, the quirky mix of modern and rustic and antique elements. The grounds...

My wife and I recently stayed at High Meadows Inn and absolutely loved it! The grounds are fantastic, flowers, a gazebo, patios, fields, trees and extremely quiet. Carol, the inn keeper, and her family were extremely accommodating. The breakfasts were incredible, featuring local items, fresh squeezed juice, and fresh coffee. The inn itself has a ton of personality: so many...

The owner was extremely pleasant & accommodating throughout our stay and served us a delicious breakfast the next morning. The cottage, where we stayed, was delightfully decorated in "shabby chic" style and was equipped with cool, soft linens, a very comfortable mattress and books and magazines. We appreciated the lovely fresh flower arrangement (picked from the garden) and the chilled...

The High Meadows Vineyard Inn is an inviting B&B were we met up with our friends for the 2-night stay. Check-in time is 4-6, so we arrived early and went kayaking down the James river, which is only about a 5 min. drive to High Meadows. We were warmly greeted and given times to choose from for having breakfast, where...

The owner was friendly and knowledge of the area. She had interesting ideas about activities. If you stay in the attic be aware that voices from the sitting room goes up the stairs and the door does not keep the noise out. The back porch is a beautiful view and nice place to eat breakfast. The food was some of...

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay - and breakfast! Cooking is certainly one of our favorite parts of being innkeepers!

I was skeptical at first, but I think any normal guy would be for his first expereince at a B&B. But Nancy made us feel right at home. We stayed in one of the cabin rooms so we enjoyed a littled extra privacy; although this made the wi-fi a little shaky; it works just fine in the main house. There are...

I will forever have the feeling of comfort when I think of staying here. My husband and I just returned from an anniversary trip to Scottsville/Charlottesville and High Meadows was our perfect paradise for 2 nights of the trip. If you're traveling from the South, up 95, instead of taking it all the way to Richmond, I definitely recommend getting...

21 years ago, I stayed at this inn when my son graduated from UVA law school, so I contacted them for the graduation of my Grand daughter and made reservations. Reserved directly, not through Tripadvisor, but a fellow member of the family did go tro Tripadvisor, and was called by the Inn keeper and was called by the and asked...

It was so nice hearing your memories of when you stayed so long ago! We have enjoyed welcoming back many previous guests, and seeing photos and hearing stories! UVA graduation is a unique time in our area, as anyone in a college town might imagine. We have only 7 rooms, and we do make it abundantly clear when a room...
