My husband and I visited High meadows on our anniversary trip and we couldn't have been more pleased! The owners were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was phenomenal, and they were great about giving us directions and recommendations for area attractions. Loved the little quirks, like the resident peacock:) We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed at High Meadows last weekend and had a great experience. The room we stayed in was the Robin's Nest. Very tastefully decorated with an ensuite bathroom, Bose radio, nice view of the front fountain and vineyard, and a very comfortable bed. The innkeeper Nancy was very nice and cooked a wonderful breakfast of scrambled eggs...

Scottsville is definitely coming into its own! We love the James River Brewery...and are happy to announce the opening of our family's new restaurant The Smokehouse Grille in the coming days. One more place to enjoy while taking in the small-town charm of Scottsville. Not to say we don't enjoy the MANY wonderful dining and drinking experiences of Charlottesville, and...

Wonderful. Comfortable, homey, and warm. We stayed here for my aunt's wedding. The house is wonderful and the service superb. The rooms are stunning. Very comfortable beds and warm atmosphere. Breakfast was great.

My wife and I recently spent the weekend at High Meadows Vineyard Inn, and it was a very nice experience. The innkeepers (Nancy and her daughter) were both very friendly and helpful, with plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area, or places to dine. Our guest room (the cottage suite), located off the main house, comfortable and...

The mother/daughter innkeepers were friendly, energetic and engaging! The gourmet breakfast was a great way to start the day. The inn is eclectic with unusual artistic touches throughout. Nancy was very informative about the area and suggested wineries and dining options. Be sure to ask about Henry! We will be back!

We enjoyed our recent stay at the High Meadows Vineyard Inn. We started each day with a delicious, fresh, and hot breakfast. Nancy was so helpful with suggestions of how to enjoy all that the Charlottesville area has to offer. In the evening, there was and abundance of intimate seating options throughout the grounds to relax and enjoy some of...

My two college aged daughters and I recently stayed at High Meadows Vineyard Inn on a mother/daughter road trip we were on of the south. There had been a computer error made in the accommodations we had selected which Nancy alerted us to and more than made up for upon our arrival. It is a little out of the way...

Hope your trip was a good one! We have told your story of "50 states by 50 years old" to many guests - we love that idea. :) Thank you for such a kind review - we were delighted to have you.

I needed to be in Charlottesville early on a Saturday morning but all of the hotels were booked up because the Charlottesville marathon was being run that weekend so we looked for a place a little further out. Unfortunately, we couldn't get to the Inn until around 9pm and we were worried that it might be too late. Nancy was...

You are so right - Nancy is the best! Of course, she is my mother, so I would naturally think that. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay - we love it when we can make a guest feel at home and welcome!

We recently spent a night at High Meadow Vineyard Inn, advertised as in the top 10 inns at a vineyard in the world. Not sure how it got that title, but it was not in our top list of inns. We chose to go there based on that advertisement. Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Gardens needed...

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay as much as we would have liked! Often, we do find that guests who only have the experience of one night, just don't get to feel quite as home as those who can stay a little longer - though that is certainly no reason for you to have felt unhappy with your...

We loved our relaxing anniversary get-away staying at High Meadows. Nancy greeted us immediately and made us feel like we were meant to be there. We stayed in the cottage suite which is clean, spacious, and comfortable. We went floating down the James, visited vineyards, went into Charlottesville and spent a night getting to know the Scottsville community while visiting...
