Room was terrific! We had a beautiful porch to sit on to watch the sunset. It's walking distance to downtown Smithfield and a great park. The restaurant downstairs is delicious. It was a great place to gather with family.
For guests that arrive by boat to Smithfield Station and also stay in the hotel, you are forced to pay full price for both the room and boat docking. My belief is the docking fees should be discounted if you are also staying in the...More

The Captain Sinclair Suite, the top level of The Lighthouse, is absolutely the best place! Once you have stayed there, you are spoiled! The walk from there to the restaurant is maybe 50 yards? The shops and lobby are all along the area behind the restaurant. And the outside it is connected with a boardwalk type walk. The lodge rooms with fireplace and jacuzzi are newer and pretty, we asked to see one when they were being built, really nice to get one on the back side with a balcony to look out over the water.
