We came to Hopkins Ordinary to get away from D.C. for the weekend and could not have picked a better spot. Sherri and Kevin were very welcoming, the room--one of the more modest options available--was fabulous. The porch seats, outdoor fire, and brewery really set the atmosphere. We came in part due to Sperryville's location in relation to Shenandoah national...

Best DC weekend getaway locale (shhhhh...don't tell anyone😬). Sperryville is a quaint town at the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah just a hour and 15 minutes from the DC area. Hopkins Ordinary is everything it is advertised to be plus so much more! We stayed in the Lavendar Room, which was well worth the price...the fireplace, sitting area, private porch,...

We are so glad that you got the hidden feel here, and enjoyed the room, the beer and the nearby whisky! Winter visits work with fireplace and clawfoot tub, too. Thank you for coming!

My boyfriend and I decided to do NYE this year away from the crowds in DC and picked Sperryville. Kevin and Sherri were very welcoming and gave us lots of advice on things to do nearby. We stayed in the Rosemary room - as a few people mentioned you can hear noise from the Ale works below but it really...

Charming bed & breakfast, nearly 200 years old, great base for visiting the Shenandoah Park. Owners are terrific, thoughtful hosts, great cooks, full of precise info on area hikes. Rooms are tasteful and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, as was the beer flight the owners offered at no further charge.

Beer sampler in the evening and a nice breakfast are included in the price. The owners are familiar with the area and can give good advice on nearby hikes. There's also a yoga studio in an old church across the street.

So glad you two got to the yoga studio and started your day with that. We also hope you got on one of the nearby trails for a little time afterward. We look forward to seeing you again.

My wife and I had a really enjoyable stay. A very interesting building and the room was perfect. Sperryville had a lot to do for a small town. Sherri and Kevin were wonderfully friendly hosts. And then there was the Ale Works. The beer was excellent and the tap room was fun. We plan to see Skyline Drive this spring....

Thank you, and looking forward to seeing you again in the spring. The beers will be different, and the Biergarten will be open! If it's chilly at all, we'll have the fire pit going.

My wife and I were looking for a well-situated B&B near the Shenandoah National Park as a base for a few days of hiking. Hopkins Ordinary fills the bill to a T. It's a restored historic building in the middle of the very small town of Sperryville so convenient to shops and restaurants. The innkeepers, Sherrie and Kevin, are gracious...

This is a fantastic B and B at the base of the entrance to Skyline drive. We found the hosts to be not only pleasant but helpful in making plans for our getaway weekend. We stayed two nights and enjoyed meeting other guests and locals at the brewery in the basement both nights. I also liked how we had our...

This was our second visit. We stayed in the Lavender Room this time. Wonderful porch, spacious bedroom and a great claw-footed tub in which to soak. As the sun set on a beautiful Fall day, we sampled Kevin's excellent beer in the beer garden while playing with the pups. Breakfast the next day was copious and delicious. Sherry and Kevin...
