We had visited Virgina in November of 2013 and wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast. Hopkins Ordinary was a wonderful choice. The inn was cozy, charming, and very nicely decorated. Sherri and Kevin were great hosts! They were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. We went to hike on the Old Rag on...

Sherri and Kevin provided a wealth of knowledge in a relaxed environment and accommodated the many menu requests from an assortment of individuals with different levels of cooking expertise. The wine pairings were excellent and plentiful! The Inn was warm and cozy and our room, the Thyme, was perfectly appointed with everything we needed and even included Sferra bath linens.

This was our third stay at Hopkins Ordinary, and, each time we drive away, we know we will return. The inn is beautifully appointed with antiques, both warm and comfortable. The rooms are bright, airy, and welcoming. The innkeepers tie everything together with their graciousness and generosity, so that, when we return, we feel like family coming home. We have...

My husband and I moved to Baltimore recently and we wanted to go away for a relaxing weekend, so we decided to go to Virginia. The B&B Hopkins Ordinary was a wonderful surprise. My family -- husband and I and our girls -- stayed in the cottage at Hopkins Ordinary last weekend, and what a wonderful weekend it was! The cottage is totally charming, with plenty of room AND fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies -- such a nice touch. Kevin and Sherri are terrific hosts, and thanks to their gracious sharing of information and...

Excellent spot for your wedding night!! Kevin was so kind to upgrade our reservations to the Lavender Room, where we shared a glass of wine by the fire. He was such a gracious host, suggesting places for dinner and taking pics in the morning. We shall return!! Kathy and Phyllis

Sperryville isn't Times Square, but it was a great place for my wife and I (and another couple) to spend our New Year's Eve this year. The "Oridinary" is charming and inviting .... country comfortable, and clean as a whistle. As other reviewers have commented, Kevin and Sherri are delightful, generous hosts, and genuinely nice folks. Be sure to take...
