When we checked in to Fairfield Inn Strasburg, we were greeted by the nicest people! Not only the person who gave us our keys and told us about breakfast but also Viviana Villarreal, the General Manager. At the time, of our visit (early June), guests were beginning to return to travel and staying in hotels, and we asked about her staff. She praised all the people who had stayed loyal to the Fairfield Inn through COVID-19 restrictions and to those who were still working diligently to keep guests safe. As she talked to us, we could tell how much she cared about the people who make this particular inn special and how she appreciated the extra care they were providing to keep rooms clean and provide a good for guests. It's people, not properties, that make the difference for us -- and, at this location, we could feel the high level of care that each employee gave to guests.…
Nice hotel. Great staff. It isn’t a new property, that’s obvious. But they keep great maintenance on it. It’s like one of those homey hotels. Room 415 was nice, very big bathroom! Overall a very nice facility. But beware tho, they only have one elevator. I was lucky to be there on a not as busy time but if it’s full it may take a while. But again, the staff can’t do much about it unless somehow one of them pulls an elevator out of their pocket.
Hiking vacation, stayed for 4 days in April 2021. Like all motel properties now, some amenities were not available, bu the staff did everything they could to take up the slack. Room was great, clean and fresh. Next time we are in the Shenandoah Valley we will stay there again
Becky at the front desk is so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcomed. She had some great dinner recommendations and we were so happy with our clean room and restful stay! No pool and a bagged breakfast because of covid, but is all understandable.
There’s nothing better than a road trip, and one of my favorite versions is driving long distances on our interstate highways and checking into places like this — it’s a quintessentially “American“ experience. Front desk ace, Becky, handled our arrival gracefully and professionally — she’s a real standout in the hospitality business. I liked that the room window opened.
