• Other reviewers are right about the narrow parking spaces – I imagine it would be quite difficult to park during busy season. • The view is great, looking over the beach and you can see the sunrise, but the building is very old and dated. • The breakfast on the 1st floor gets to be quite expensive. After we overpaid for our breakfast on the 1st day, we walked over to V Love Coffee House next door to get our coffees and breakfast for a much more reasonable price. • The location is good with many restaurants within walking distance and it’s right on the Boardwalk.

Thank you for taking time to review our hotel. During our peak season parking does become an opportunity for our guests, but our gated parking garage is available for overflow parking. Located at the heart of Atlantic Ave, our hotel offers plenty of dining options within walking distance. So glad you were able to find something you enjoyed while with us! We stayed here for New Year's, it was a great time. The room was spacious and clean. We had a corner suite with a kitchenette, pull out sofa, bedroom is short walk from living area, ideal for families. The view was amazing. The location is great. Parking was available on site.

We stayed here for five nights with colleagues. We had booked a suite, which was spacious with two big beds in the bedroom and sitting area and a dining table in the living room. The kitchenette has a sink, a fridge, a microwave, a one-cup coffee maker and a few cupboards, but there were no utencils, plates or cups whatsoever. Why provide a room with a kitchen if not providing kitchenware as well? We had to go and buy some bowls to be able to make some breakfast, which is not what you expect when booking a room with a kitchen. We had to change room to a standard room due to our upstairs neighbours having such a hard party that they burst a water pipe in their bathroom, which caused water damage all the way down to the third floor. We got woken up in the middle of the night by the hotel chief engineer. At first my room mate did not want to open the door at all, the person standing outside did not have any ID on them (a hotel t-shirt is not really enough) and I too was a bit sceptic to let an unknown person into our room. (The elevators do not require a key card, so basically anyone from the street can come in and up to the floors, which is a security hazard.) The person checked our room and left, and a half an hour later, when the water started coming in through our ceiling, we got transferred to a smaller room. Reimbursement for the change was not a problem. We did not get to try the pool as it was out of order when we had planned to go there.…

The location is ideal, right on the ocean. The rooms are spacious. I had a king bed and a couch in mine. I don't know how other rooms look. The bed was comfortable. I slept with the sliding glass door open all night. There were two chairs and a little table on my balcony, perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning. Shower had good pressure and hot water. The front desk was friendly when I had questions. My one complaint is the parking lot. The spaces are so close together and so tight that it can be difficult to park safely without hitting another vehicle. Overall, the hotel was clean and mostly updated. There is a breakfast available for purchase in the morning, though very expensive.

This is right on oceanfront and almost in center of boardwalk length, meaning very centrally located . Very easy to walk anywhere in Virginia Beach. We were placed on 11th floor in a corner suite. Very good size living room and perfect bedroom. Air conditioning was very efficient. Ocean view was out of world. You can seat in balcony and forget the world. Staff was very helping and smiling. Everything true Marriott standard.

I am writing because there has been questionable reviews on this hotel. I went for 4 nights mid July with my daughter. We stayed in a 2 room suite on the 2nd floor. Staff - all very nice and friendly from the front desk to maintenance and housekeeping. Our key needed to be re-magnitized multiple times, no issue. My rental car's battery died and a maintenance worker brought his own car over to help. Parking - yes it is a small lot, what would you expect on ocean? I only had one late night where I had to park around the corner. It is short walk, no issues. Location - perfect! You can walk to so many restaurants and shop too. The beach access was great and if you want to rent a chair, there is a spot without walking far. We had a great trip and would definitely stay again.…

The hotel is okay but very understaffed; patience is key because they are trying their best. Rooms seem to have been remodeled but nothing done to the bathrooms. Pool had a lot of sand in the bottom the entire time we were there and water was very cloudy, so we did not use it.

I rate this hotel five stars! My friends and I had a girls weekend down Virginia Beach and this hotel was great. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed in an oceanfront room with a balcony and the view was spectacular and the beds were extremely comfortable. They have a nice small gym, but has everything for a good workout, they have a small indoor pool, and a Starbucks that is open in the morning. They also offer a breakfast buffet for a fee. This is a great hotel with beach access!

In late June, we returned to this property for the first time since the height of covid. We have been coming here for more than 20 years. As a lifetime Marriott platinum member, I cannot say enough about the beauty of the ocean outside each balcony and the remarkable location of the hotel itself. The staff were wonderful from the beginning. We came as a family, with my husband and me from Maryland and our son and grandson from Phoenix. Before the trip, I had spoken with Front Desk Manager Daniel Sanchez, whom I had never met until I entered the property. He could not have been more helpful or more welcoming to us all. He made a special visit even more special because when you come from the Washington, D.C. area in heavy traffic the whole way, you feel so special to be welcomed by Daniel's smile and daily request if he could do something for you. This hotel was not a good value for the money. It was a very expensive room to stay on the oceanfront in Virginia Beach. My experience is that most hotels are returning to full service housekeeping, but not this one. The room was spotless when we arrived, but after spending a weekend on the beach the room was getting pretty ripe. Housekeeping refuses to enter the room. Wet towels started piling up, the beds weren't made and the bathroom was getting dirty. We had to get our own towel, paper cup and coffee replacements ourselves at the front desk. Body lotion was not supplied with the excuse "we are no longer required to provide lotion". Parking was an extra fee for self park in a garage across a busy street. We have been coming to Virginia Beach for years and this was the first time we have ever been charged for hotel parking. We were aware of the lack of other amenities before we arrived such as no outdoor pool, restaurant or bar. There was a place to buy quick breakfast foods which was convenient. The front desk staff were pleasant, but the lack of amenities were out of their control. Checkout was cumbersome using out Bonvy Amex. The shower was excellent, great water pressure!…

Thank you for your review! I am so sorry you were mislead by our availability for housekeeping services. We are following our brand standards of offering housekeeping service every other day of stays and we do offer housekeeping upon request if our guests would like service more frequently. I certainly understand how frustrating a pile of towels and lack of general cleanliness can be after 'living' in a guest room for a few days. Regarding amenities available to you, we do have all coffee/cup supplies and lotion available upon request at our front desk. Our parking fee is standard for stays April through September in the resort area. I am so sorry you had a disappointing experience throughout. I'm glad the staff was pleasant and your shower pressure met your expectations. I hope you give us another chance to serve you in the future as many of the comments you mentioned can be accommodated.
