Wonderful hotel and staff. We loved everything about this hotel, location is awesome as it is right on the beach with nice clean oceanfront rooms. Located in the heart/center of Atlantic avenue, What we loved the most was the breakfast, Best run hotel breakfast on the beach as we have stayed in a few breakfast offering hotels overs the years. The folks running the breakfast are true pros and can honestly give a run to the surrounding restaurants for customer service, Lots of hot items on buffet. Plenty of parking between the 3 lots(all close by).We will be staying here again.

I haven't been to Virginia Beach in over 20 years. The last time i came nothing was upgraded. It was the same as when I was a child. I was pleasantly surprised this time to see all the upgrades. This was my first time staying at a Holiday Inn and I must say I was quite impressed. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If something happened it was taken care of immediately. The maintenance staff even made coffee when he noticed it was out. Towels were replenished as needed. The breakfast was hat and fresh every morning and the breakfast staff was superb. You cannot go wrong with your room choice because every room faces the beach. I absolutely recommend this hotel and this is coming from a very critical person. 5 stars from me.

My number one requirement for our spring break trip was a view of the ocean and we got it! We stayed on the seventh floor and enjoyed waking up to the sound of ocean waves and sunrise. Easy access to the boardwalk right outside the lobby doors was a bonus. At breakfast we enjoyed the seating by the window so we could see the beach on chilly mornings. When it warmed up we sat outside on the patio where there was extra seating. The breakfast crew was friendly and attentive and the menu had plenty of options for everyone. We loved walking on the boardwalk everyday, or riding bikes and longboards. You can even see dolphins right from the hotel. My two teenage boys took advantage of the fitness center with a view of the ocean, too! We would stay here again.

My husband and I booked a babymoon for May. I was just told by my doctor they were moving my due date because of being induced to May (baby was to be due in June). I called IHG to ask for a refund or at least a refund in points. They pointed me to the hotel. Hotel said there was nothing they could do because I paid in full. I understand I paid in full at the beginning, but everything was fine and I did not want to pay extra money for the flexible rate. My husband and I have been trying for two days to get a refund and no one seems to care that due to a medical issue and extenuating circumstances I am no longer able to travel. They keep telling me to just move the reservation to a different date. How am I to know when I can take an extended weekend trip when I have a newborn? I have given the hotel two and a half months notice to rebook the room. A room, mind you, that they only have two left of. So they can easily rebook for peak season and the rates will be higher than what we even paid. To me this just sounds like the manager of this hotel is greedy and wants to keep our money, have us cancel, and then rebook the room for even more money. This is absolutely ridiculous. Normally, we stay with Hilton brand hotels. We thought we would branch out because this seemed like a nice hotel in a good area at VA Beach. I can say I will never book with IHG again after this lack of customer service and respect for their customers.…

The staff was very pleasant and the room was very comfortable for our family. We enjoyed time in the pool and will be back. Breakfast was good and we were excited to watch the dolphins as we ate breakfast. Thank you for being kind to us, hope to come back soon

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at this Holiday Inn. I’m a loyal Hilton Honors member, but we stayed here as part of a high school track team group booking. The rooms are all oceanfront, which still was nice to have even in January - looking at the ocean is always in season. Our room was ready at 1:30 pm, even though the stated check-in time was 4:00 pm. The lobby was very clean, and the staff very helpful, with a special shout-out to Nathan who was very helpful with dining recommendations as well as pointing me toward a store for some allergy medications close bye. Our room was very clean, and the two queen beds were pretty comfortable, much more so than I expected. We had a complimentary breakfast this morning which featured pancakes, bagels, toast, omelettes, sausage links, biscuits with sausage gravy, yogurt and oatmeal. They also had milk (chocolate and white), OJ, grapefruit juice, coffee and tea for beverages. Overall, as I said, I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel, and have to give them kudos.…

We have stayed at this property many times and the recent renovations make it even better. Refreshed lobby, breakfast area, guest rooms and guest bathrooms. Helpful front desk staff and breakfast attendants. We have always liked this property...and now we like it even more.

Nice clean oceanfront hotel. We went on a couples southern beach tour and stayed her on our way. We loved the balcony overlooking the ocean. Great view! Nice comfy bed. Our truck was parked for us. The location was close to places to eat and right on the boardwalk. Everyone at the check in area was helpful and nice. I would stay here again if I’m the area for sure.

We would not stay here again. The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful when asked the simplest of questions by us and others I observed. Our suite room was not as shown. Our bed was a Murphy bed that was about 6 inches off the ground. It wasn’t comfortable. Breakfast staff did seem to be the nicest people there. Probably should move them to the front desk 😊
