My husband and I wanted to get away from DC for the weekend and do some hiking. We wanted a romantic B&B with easy access to Shenandoah. We stayed at the Middleton Inn and weren't disappointed. You can tell MaryAnn has thought of everything from wine and cheese in the early evening to brandy late at night, chocolates on the...

The rooms were beautifully appointed and the hostesses were wonderful and very accomidating. The breakfast both Saturday and Sunday was a delight. Its a perfect launching pad for hiking in the Shenendoahs, especially if you like a bit more comfort. They also helped with dinner reservations in town and provided tourist information. It was a spectacular stay.

Beautiful views of the mountains, delightful room, quiet space, delicious breakfast, intimate setting, and terrific staff. Great escape destination, and one to operate from when visiting the wineries in the area. You can walk the town from there and my wife and i felt the whole place was ours.

While my wife an I are certainly not frequent B&Bers, we know what we like–feeling welcome, a comfortable room, and a good meal, and Middleton Inn meets all three criteria. Maryann and her staff made us feel right at home from the very start. The room was very clean and we slept well. The next morning we were treated to...

A lovely inn set in the Virginia countryside. Great room, warm and welcoming hosts, terrific breakfast. Everything you could want for a lovely weekend in the country. We enjoyed the wine and cheese in the afternoon, sitting on the front porch and the multi course homemade breakfast.Would highly recommend for a speecial getaway.

We planned a dinner at the Inn at Little Washington and looked for a place to stay nearby because the cost to stay at the Inn at Little Washington is prohibitive. You don't have a lot of choices in the area. So you drive your car up the dirt road to the Inn realizing you will be having a visit...

My husband and I recently stayed here for my birthday. We regularly stay in bed and breakfasts when we travel, so have lots of experience for comparison. Pros: - WONDERFUL service and hospitality - truly top notch. - Breakfasts were amazing. Very good and customized for guests. - Bath and bed linens, and paper products (toilet paper and tissue) were...

My boyfriend chose this inn for our weekend getaway which included dinner at the little inn at Washington. I was delighted as this place so so charming and fit the romantic occasion perfectly. It was like staying at a country manor, complete with the adorable dog from Downton Abbey. The wood fireplace was a treat and the view from our...

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend, while we ate at the Inn at Little Washington. From the warm greeting to the kind farewell, Mary Ann's hospitality was simply perfect--a glass of wine before dinner, a log set out in the fireplace in our room, chocolates on the pillowcase before bed, the newspaper in the sunny sitting room...

This B&B is ideally located in the town of Washington, VA, close by the Inn at Little Washington and numerous other area attractions, including wineries. The room costs are in line with the other inns in town. We would return to the Middleton Inn because it is located on a beautiful property and the host, Mary Ann, and staff, are...
