I recently completed two stays at this property, returning about a month after my first one. The property itself is great, very well located and with an amazing golf course right across the street. Both stays, however, have been diminished by week after week of frustrating issues that have not been resolved after phone calls, emails, and even an in person visit. I would love to return to this property again as it's in a charming location, rooms are spacious, breakfast was great, and with the golf nearby, but I have spent many hours fighting billing charges (which thankfully have been resolved) but now 6 weeks after my first stay I still have not received the Marriott night credit or the points from my stay and the most recent stay I completed on New Year's Eve is the same. Everyone keeps pointing the finger at someone else, tells me it will be resolved, or just doesn't respond altogether. This Marriott property needs to get its act together and treat rewards members right.…
Williamsburg is full of history and ambience and staying in the middle of it at the Williamsburg Lodge added to the experience. We were in the first floor of the Tyler Guesthouse wing. Our room featured a king bed and had plenty of space. Good sleep quality and an easy walk to Colonial Williamsburg and restaurants and shops.
We visited Williamsburg for the first time at the beginning of this new year. It is the first time we come across this beautiful Hotel and for sure it will not be the last! The service and the personnel has been impeccable form all angles! Well done!!!
Stayed during Christmas, due to Covid seating restrictions we were unable to reserve a table for dinner. We reserved a fireplace and balcony room and were mildly disappointed that the room was on the first floor and the balcony was below grade. Perhaps it's intended for Hobbits. It is requested that the fireplaces only be lit by the housekeeping staff and after 3 phone calls over the course of an hour we learned that there was an issue with the firewood that would not permit it to stay lit. We paid a $66 premium for the room and was refunded $25 because of the fireplace issues. The room itself was large, spacious and clean. The breakfasts were made to order and served at the table by pleasant wait staff. The grounds are well maintained and awaiting the lifting of covid restrictions to resume accommodating throngs of tourists.…
Amazing historic place full of really recreated characters and historic building of the 16th and 17th century. Walking distance to all the historic areas of Colonial Williamsburg! The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was very pristine clean. They keep up the hotel and the amenities in top shape. Amazing place and a great place to stay with family.
