First, let me say that this is our 2nd visit to colonial W, we bought yearly pass this year. and decided to stay in this hotel as it was nearer. We stayed there for 7 to 11 April. It started very badly, We just arrived from New Jersey, and my eldest daughter age 9 was feeling odd. Within 3 minutes...

The hotel is a little dated and LOTS of groups stay here including those with kids so yes it is noisy and the breakfast area is chaotic. That said, it's a nice walk to the Revolutionary City if you're there to see lots of sights and take in the evening attractions. Breakfast is good and plentiful and the fruit is...

We stayed here for a long weekend during our children's Spring Break. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, with a Keurig machine, mini fridge and microwave. What stood out for us was the wonderful, kind service offered by each staff member. We traveled to and from Williamsburg via Amtrak and the hotel staff both picked us up and drove...

This is not a quiet place to stay. Kids running around and in the Halls. Couldn't get to eat breakfast in the morning, over run with kids and their chaperones. There were so many students on field or sports trips. The front desk staff made checking in very pleasant.

Williamsburg owns and operates six differerent properties from the ultra expensive Williamsburg Inn on down. When choosing a place for us to stay along with our daughters' family including two smaller children, the Woodlands seemed to offer the best choices of amenities and price. That included modest rates for rooms including one bedroom suites for families, with the kiddies sleeping...

Stayed at Woodlands for first two nights of a one week Williamsburg vacation. Could not have been happier. The location to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center was great and made it easy to get back and forth from hotel to Colonial city. I can't say enough about the front desk staff. Coffee checked us in. When our room wasn't ready,...

This hotel is part of Colonial Williamsburg. This gives you discounts on passes and tickets and in the stores. You have to make sure to ask though. We had a suite room. It had a king bed and a sofa sleeper. The king bed was in a room with a door. There were 2 tvs. There was a small fridge,...

We brought a large student group and the hotel staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. When I travel with students we are often treated as second-class citizens but not here; this was by far the most positive experience we've had. They kept our luggage when we arrived early so we could go to Busch Gardens , provided...

Just a short note for everyone planning to stay here or any of the other Colonial Williamsburg Collection hotels. They DO charge your credit card the day you make reservations no matter how far in advance. That wasn't my problem as I knew their rules, but what I didn't expect was how long it took to REFUND that advance charge...

I cancelled my 3 day reservation for 4/12-4/15/17 due to my husband losing his job on 4/10...was told I didn't cancel the reservation within 72 hours and they would be charging me $200.00..even after I explained my situation. At this busy time of the year when they probably rebooked my room within minutes of me cancelling reservation..it was deplorable they...
