Beautiful resort, this is the second time visiting. Looked forward to enjoying the pools, restaurant, and bar but they were all closed. It's in a great location for visiting the town and points of interest.

These are hundreds of cramped little condos. Their checking procedure is a total nightmare. They don't have adequate staff to process all the sardines they're packing in. If you're into a sort of "lower working class" experience then this is the place for you. Oh, and if you're coming from a free face state, be aware that they are still attempting to enforce mask rules here. Apparently Virginia has not heard that there are vaccines available for anyone who is willing to risk thrombosis. I personally cannot see myself returning to Virginia for recreational purposes anytime soon.

I would have given this resort five stars except that the internet service was terrible. We even paid for upgraded service. I had rented two units and both had trouble. Also the indoor pool has been closed every time I have been here in the last four years. Hot tubs are closed because of covid.

Thank you for completing your review. We apologize you had difficulty with the internet while here. We do hope you provided us an opportunity to check on this for you. The indoor pools are still closed, as non-covid the pool deck has a maximum capacity of 35 ppl. With the VA Governors 75% capacity restrictions for pools still in place, only 26 ppl would be allowed in at any time. Powhatan has 845 units and when 80-100% occupied, we have over 4000 people on property. The indoor pool will remain closed until all restrictions for Covid on pools have been lifted. We do hope you come back and visit us again very soon.

We stayed here for family vacation. The little apartment was clean and huge (one bedroom). There was lots of stuff to do on grounds (pool, play ground, putt put golf). It was close to lots of things off grounds. Will definitely be returning.

Checkin took about a half hour. When we were finally checked in, they directed us to another desk to collect our “welcome package”... which turned out to be 2 magazines of coupons/tourist attractions that you can find in any hotel room in Williamsburg. What was the point of that? Just to further frustrate people who just drive 2.5 hours? When we go to the room, it seemed ok at first (a bit old and must smelling, but I didn’t mind that). What was frustrating was the cheap construction of the units meant that we could hear everything in the room above us. Stomping, running, even walking and talking. I was woken up over and over on the last 2 nights there due to the stomping/walking above me. There was only one parking spot per unit and the overflow parking was just about a quarter mile away. Then, the staff completely blocked our parking space with their golf cart so we had to carefully maneuver around it to get into our spot without taking someone else’s. They also called us in the room at 9:30 am on Sunday to try and get us to attend a timeshare presentation which we thought was..., honestly... kinda trashy of them to do. (Especially after paying $1,500 for 3 nights). Lastly, checkout was 10 am but we discovered all of our keys were deactivated by around 8:30 am. Why?
