We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite for six nights. The hotel really surprised us by leaving incredible Easter baskets outside the doors of every family with kids staying on Easter Sunday. It was very thoughtful and made us all happy to see such kindness spread throughout the hotel. Our kids loved hitting the mini golf course in the evenings after dinner. I used the fitness facility a few times and was thankful for the space with plenty of room to do a workout video played from my phone or walk on one of the treadmills. The small bowling alley wasn’t open, but would have been nice. The staff at the cafe were always friendly and helpful. The one thing I would change would be the registration building. There is a weirdly small step at the front door that is a huge tripping hazard. It nearly got me twice and the fall would have been a face plant onto bricks, so not a good way to start a vacation. Another guest was trying to explain the hazard and her concerns to the woman at the front desk, but she was blown off and not taken seriously. It was tough to watch how disrespectful the staff member was being when the woman was just trying to politely say that the small sign saying “watch your step” is not enough for the main entrance. The hotel room was big enough for a family with two young kids that shared the pull out couch in the living room. The kitchen was surprisingly functional and well-stocked for a hotel kitchen. I recommend taking a Roku or Amazon fire stick to make one of the TVs in the room a smart tv. We declined the sales tour and were only asked once, so no issues there.…
Check in is 4pm, we were early and at noon there was a 1 bdrm ready and clean. It was in 2nd floor in bldg 300. Large Patio for all rooms with iron table and chairs to lounge outside in front and private from back bedroom. Though we just bought in June, used our 3 nite courtesy stay to figure out the ways HCV works. Attended a update with owner services. Brent said it was an update since they recently renovated,Should only take 1 hr since we just did presentation in June and would receive $80 Cash. It was anything but an update, Brandy couldn’t get over the fact that we didn’t purchase an extra 150,000 pts instead of just 100,000 because the offering was so much less this year. I think we shared why we decided to buy in 5 different ways and she still couldn’t get over it. She pushed. And she pushed and she pushed. (Were 17 hrs owners with Westin in Maui with 4 weeks, still full time working).we broke after 1 hr 15 min later when she came to us and wanted to take us on a tour of a unit. I was done. Asked her to just give us the $80 and she said not until we toured the unit. Told her that was deceptive and walked out. Then she came running out hollering “my manager said I can give you the money” . I just kept walking and told her it wasn’t about the money. Horrible “update”. Brandy didn’t listen at all to us. Unit had anything one would need. Bring a bag of ice, ice maker didn’t kick in until last night. Barely heard neighbors upstairs. Had plenty of towels, laundry soap, kitchen soap, plenty of plugs and USB portals, storage units, closets, safe,Plenty pillows, clean sheets, extra pillows, blankets. There were only 2 of us, but would have been spacious for 4. Love the decor. Very comfy place. Pools look nice. Bowling alley looked fun. Snack shop ok for a little of anything. We would go back. Just wouldn’t do their sales pitch for $80. Ever. …
Stayed in signature rooms, very very quiet, could not hear any neighbors. Beds were super comfy, the staff was very nice, wish the rooms had a place to put your feet up other than in bed. The technology in the room was great and the showers were very nice. The food there was surprisingly great for being a cafe. The salads, wraps, quesadillas, and drinks were very good. Nice pools and bowling alley. No hot tub to my knowledge was the only downfall. Highly recommend the veggie quesadilla.
With COVID being in full effect, and many places only permitted to have 25-50% capacity, I was initially leery about coming here for vacation. But this place is not only beautiful, but it was quiet and very clean. There is antiseptic gel everywhere, for crowd control you have to make an appt to use the amenities, and most of the restaurants around the area are all open and convenient. Very VERY happy I took a leap and came here!!!
Great location, loved the club house with bowling alley and cafe. One bedroom villa was perfect for the two of us! Enjoyed hot tub in our bathroom and that we had washer/dryer to use. Kitchen had everything we needed to make a quick meal. Anything we needed, it just took a call to lobby and items were delivered very quickly.
