We have stayed in a few places in Woodstock. We come twice a year for Camp Strawderman pick up and drop off. This is my favorite and we will keep staying here over the other hotel along the same drive. The seating for breakfast is more comfortable. The overall feel is warmer. The staff is as helpful as they come and the price is a bit better. Laundry was easy and when we had a weather-related road blockage keep us from checking out on time, they were understanding and accommodating. We saw that some folks had small dogs but there was no noise from them and no smell at all.
Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable. Extra steps in sanitation were evident such as sealed TV remote. Breakfast options were good, but buffet shields could have taken food handling safety to another level.
Are all Hampton Inns the same? NO, there are variations on the breakfast quality, staff, and managment. This one is run more like a fine hotel than a motel. The breakfast had a nice hot selection and the atmosphere was more like a good lounge than a "Room".The staff were friendly and accomadationg especially the night desk clerk. You can't get closer to the interstate if you are driving through. The pool is open late and a swim after a day of driving is refreshing.Love the little wagons for carrying bags to the room.
This is a typical Hampton Inn. Right off the highway, we always request a room on the front side (odd numbers). Nothing extraordinary, but was a bit pricey this time. Cracker Barrel and Paisanos restaurants nearby (recommend Paisanos). Walmart nearby as well.
Don't stay at this hotel. We were on a road trip from ATL to NY and grabbed a room there at 3 am to rest our eyes. We woke up at 8 am to find we were bitten by bed bugs and found several of them on the mattress. When we went to address the issue at the front desk, Sarah the Front Desk was VERY NASTY. We requested to speak to the General Manager Holly McCabe and apparently, she wasn't on-site and refused to call me back. I filed a complaint with the Corporate line and also reported them to the Local News. These hotels have to do better and when people bring up an issue that affects their personal well-being, there is no reason to be so ugly.
I’m so disappointed in my stay and the employees. First, I am woken up at 4am to all of the fire alarms going off and had to leave the hotel. No explanation from the employees on what happened they just said “it has happened before” with a shrug. Obviously stuff happens but at least some acknowledgment or an explanation on what happened from the employees would have been nice. Then I am hit with a charge after I leave for smoking in the room. I did not smoke in the room. They said they had a bag of paraphernalia but when I asked what it was, they said they didn’t have to explain themselves and that is just what it is. I’m so confused. Jessica at the front desk was so rude and hung up on me and then didn’t answer my calls after that. I’m sure you would also be upset if you were charged for something you genuinely didn’t do and then was hung up on when you were trying to ask what it was for. I’m just very confused on why I am being charged for something I DID NOT DO. Really seems like the employees just don’t care. Beware if you stay here…heaven forbid anything bad happens because they will not care or help you.…
This hotel is conveniently located off I81, it’s very nice and the staff is very friendly. However, our room on 4th floor faced the highway. Noise was terrible all night. Could even feel vibration of larger trucks. The ear plugs provided with the bath samples were an indication of the noise level. Only stay here if guaranteed a room opposite the freeway. We tried to reserve a room not facing highway but told diamond level Hilton honors members took all those rooms. Great place but tough to sleep.
Saw this Hamton Inn from the hwy, booked online and in our room 20 minutes later. Check in was a breeze, front desk professional and welcoming. Very clean and safe hotel with great a/c, water pressure ,etc. Would have rated 5 stars but the bed is nothing to write home about, I was so tired I didn't care that much. A quality Hampton experience.
The hotel staff was amazing during our stay to help with family during a loss of our Grandfather. They went out of their way to ensure that everything was good. The only thing that we knew was the comfort of the bed. This is a ownership/corporate issue. The bed is extremely hard like sleeping on a board with no movement. Other than this location is great. Very close to food, shopping, sight seeing location's. The staff and cleanliness is awesome. If they company fixes the bed issue like other hotels have with firm, plush , pillows top mattresses they will be a 5 star. That's what it takes to lead in life, the extra step...
we were traveling and stayed there for the overnight. Had breakfast in the morning and we were out the door. didnt see much of the hotel, but I was happy with the quick stay ovenight and would stay again
