My wife and I were interested in a weekend getaway in the mountains of Virginia, and we found the perfect little spot at the Mountain Rose Inn. The Inn is charming and historic, and the inn keepers are proud of this history. Shelley and Patrick called us ahead of time to find out when we were arriving and greeted us...

Everything was perfect! The place is extremely clean and just all around cozy. We stayed in Nature's Song which was absolutely beautiful and upstairs by itself. The food was incredible from the super filling and delicious breakfasts to wonderful afternoon snacks. Shelly and Patrick are the sweetest people you could ever meet and will do anything to make you feel...

Scott and Grace, Since you aren't that far away, we certainly hope you return in the not-so-distant future. Maybe for a local music event or hiking when the snow clears...Best always, Shelley and Patrick

The Mountain Rose Inn is the ultimate "country place Inn". If its off your GPS map...its out there, if your cell phone doesn't work...its out there....away from the hustle and bustle of your current routine...Relax! Perfection. A night under the stars, sipped some local wine, sat by a fire, listening to the creek and music provided by Patrick and puppy snuggles from Iggy. Fabulous breakfast every morning by Shelley. When they say gourmet breakfast, they exceed expectations.

This is a beautiful spot with a historic Victorian interior. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was exquisite. We stayed here nine years ago and were not disappointed on our return. It is convenient from The Blue Ridge Parkway.

This was an unplanned stay as we were driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed it so much we added another day! Shelly and Patrick are wonderful hosts and their 4 course breakfasts are AMAZING! The fire pit next to a babbling brook, sitting on the porch enjoying our coffee, reading in the sitting room and enjoying our own...

This was our second visit to the Mountain Rose Inn, which is outside the small town of Woolwine, VA, near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The innkeepers were very attentive, offering extras such as afternoon sherry and pick-up food. The breakfasts were excellent: the first was a fruit cup, followed by an egg-and-cheese quiche; the second was a three course meal,...

This is our second trip to the Mountain Rose Inn. This time we brought our parents. The new Inn keepers were awesome. They were personal and helpful in getting events planned. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and they were able to accommodate my Mom -in-law who has to eat gluten free. We love the Mountain...

Our innkeepers Shelly & Patrick were very attentive, hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed our breakfeast and afternoon snacks. The grounds were beautiful, the inground pool was invigorating. We stayed in the natures song room that was very comfortable. We have already recommended this b&b to our friends. Thank you Shelly & Patrick--From Robyn &Sandy

I HIGHLY recommend the Mountain Rose Inn! It is especially perfect for a couple's long weekend getaway, which was exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for. The property is incredibly charming with its historical architecture and quaint, southern charm. The porches are lovely, as are the delicious gourmet breakfasts served by the hosts, and the grounds are beautiful...
