My husband and I were traveling to visit family for Thanksgiving and stayed for one night. We found this hotel clean and the staff was friendly. Check-in was efficient. The room we booked was well laid out and was comfortable. It was divided into a seating area with a small sleeper couch, lounge chair, desk (and comfortable desk chair), and TV, and a bedroom area also had a TV as well as a king bed. The bed was comfortable, which is always an issue for my husband when we stay at hotels. The Internet was fine. The bathroom had plenty of space for toiletries and was clean. Free breakfast was included and offered enough hot and cold variety. The breakfast room staff was attentive to refilling all trays. The coffee was hot and good. Wytheville is the midpoint in our travels to visit family for holidays. We will continue to consider this hotel for future trips since it is convenient from the highway and meets our needs for a short-term stay.

Well maintained, quiet and comfortable. While the rooms could use some upgrades like USB ports and noiseless refrigerators, they are large, quiet and the AC works really well. Beds are super comfortable. Staff is friendly and check in was easy - nice check in staff.

We have stayed here several times, and have enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately this time wasn’t as good. The hotel is starting to look tired, our room had a smell to it, my kids said it smelled like someone had pizza with onions on it. When having breakfast, the staff started putting away the food 15-20 minutes before they were scheduled to shut breakfast down. It’s unfortunate, hopefully they get things updated and staff is a little more friendly. We always enjoyed staying here in the past.

First night of a road trip and had pre-booked a room with our Marriott account. Usually have great experiences. Not this time. First clue was only 4 cars in the parking lot upon our 6pm arrival. Second clue was when we got to our 3rd floor room. Very odd layout, couldn’t watch television from the work desk. Moldy grout around tub and soap holder. Room looked like it was still in the 70’s with orange carpet, pale blue bed skirt and large useless wood piece holding a television. That really is a cosmetic issue, but hearing about recent renovations, I would have thought a better upgrade would have occurred. Except for the bathroom, the room was fairly clean. So after a great dinner in the downtown area, we returned to our room and prepared for bed. While my husband was brushing his teeth, someone attempted to enter our room. Door handle rattled, shadows seen at bottom of the door. Kept us awake and on guard all night with deadbolt, manual door jam and other furniture blocking the door. It could have been another traveler at the wrong room door, but with only 7 cars in the parking lot……Why would the hotel put travelers so close to each other? There are other Properties, closer to downtown that appeared to be newer and nicer. Would not stay here again.

I rated this as a 4 because just a few issues , our bathroom bathtub area was cruddy under a soap dish in tub ( looked like jack job when it was installed ) And the doorway inside room had stuff dripping down needed to be cleaned better Other than that .. typical Fairfield :) always decent and it feels new and clean

I paid $230 dollars for a room that the staff didn’t even attempt to clean! The toilet was dirty, no toilet paper, the shower was completely disgusting, end tables were sticky, and the room wreaked of smoke, even though they claim to be a “smoke free property”! Do not stay here!

A bit disappointed that they did not have a luggage cart. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was the bathtub. When taking a shower, I felt that I was on a skating rink. Extremely slippery, as though they do not wash the tub floor to remove soap residue. My daughter in another Room had the same issue. Great location and good choice of restaurants. We went to the Copper Still Pub and Grill. See review. Was excellent about 3 miles from hotel.

When I arrived I was told that the elevator repair people had been there, they weren’t able to fix the problem and there would be no elevator service. Our room was on the third floor. They moved the room to the second. I asked if the repair might be made that evening and was told that they would be out tomorrow. We had to take our change of clothes and toiletries out of the suitcases and leave the luggage behind. All in all, not a huge inconvenience. The thing that annoyed me was that in conversation, the next morning, I was told by another employee that the elevator had been out of service since April and due to parts availability would not be repaired until possibly the end of August. If you were planning to stay at this facility during this time period, you may want to reconsider.

We were passing through this area and stayed at this property for just one night. I called ahead to request a specific type of room. Ashley was awesome! It took a minute but she was able to get us a room on the first floor near the entrance. Our room was nice, clean and fresh. Breakfast was nice. It was really busy but the breakfast attendant managed to keep everything well stocked. We would definitely stay there again.
