Because of the reviews, we thought it might be fun to stay here. The owners, Jay and Karen, are very courteous and accommodating. We found our cottage 5 to be clean, comfortable, air conditioned, modern updates to look old, had refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. They even provide the best ground coffee, I bought some beans to bring home. This is...

Came across these cabins by chance and are so happy that we did. Re-done with just he right amount of modern amenities. A quiet setting, convenient to hiking, gorge activities, and Stevenson. We had two beds, a good kitchen, a good bathroom and front porch with rocking chair. The owner (Jay) is very friendly and a great source of information...

I wasn't sure what to expect with these cabins, but they were one of the only dog friendly places I could find on short notice that were not on the train tracks. We rented Cabin 9 because it was the only one that could fit 3 people all with their own sleeping space. It was mostly clean, but there was...

Yes, I have mixed feelings about my 4 day stay at Sand Hill Cottages in Carson, Washington. I made reservations one month in advance but the woman owner, Karen, was surprised when we arrived. She forgot we were coming; forgot what day it was. There were no ordinary check in procedures. The cottages themselves are snug and clean. We had...

We have stayed here 4 or 5 times while attending the Columbia River Bluegrass Festival in Stevenson and we love it. Very private and quiet. The cabins are from the 30s and the owners have rehabbed them in vintage furnishings. Nothing fancy, but they have comfortable firm beds and a kitchen in the two cabins we've stayed in. Jay and...

We stayed in two of the Sandhill Cottages for a couple of days while visiting with a Carson local. The cabins do allow children. There aren't any tvs. Wifi is very, very weak. One of the cabins had a kitchen but the oven was not operating correctly. I think we must have been the first guests for the Spring. The...

Based on the location's website and the reviews on TripAdvisor, we were expecting a rustic, but at least well-kept property. We didn't get the warmest welcome from the owners, which was too bad because other reviewers mentioned how much they enjoyed interacting with them. While the room was clean enough, the furniture was really worn down and the front door...

Even though we arrived very late, the light was on and we were warmly welcomed!. Jay left some fresh roasted and ground coffee on our cabin railing. we were very impressed by the beds in the cabins. (We changed to a cabin w/ a stove when another guest left) All beds were very comfortable and this is something we really...

This is a great rustic getaway at a totally reasonable price. I've stayed in several different cabins over the years. All are charmingly restored and decorated. Rustic and clean and quiet. Awsome fresh roasted coffee and fresh eggs, too.

Sandhill Cottages is perfect for those who may be disappointed by the fact that the historic lodging at Carson Hot Springs is gone. We recently stayed in Cottage 9. Built in the 30's, it has been largely (but not completely) restored. A full well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and a great shower. The owners are very nice - Jay roasts...
