Our family of four visited this in July 2013. WE LOVED IT! Mark, the owner and chief everything, provided the most personalized experience. He has amazing understanding of the area, having grown up at his family's resort on Spirit Lake before the great eruption. Mark took us on the best horseback ride ever, not the average nose to tail on...

Like luxury camping! Adorable 1-room cabin without electricity but with a lot of charm. Propane lights (and heater that we didn't use) make it easy. No one else near us, so we didn't have to share our bathroom with anyone. Best of all, the host Mark and cook/all-around helper John brought the history of the whole area to life. We...

Pro's Closest lodging to Mount St. Helens, Great Breakfast, friendly hosts. Con's No electric outlets near the cabins, shared comfort stations. We traveled all day and kept on going because it was clear and Mt. St. Helens was 25 miles away. We got the most magnificent view of the ruined mountain. But by the time we returned to Eco-Park it...

We stayed at the EcoPark resort in mid July and had a fabulous experience. Having stayed at many crowded, dusty camp sites in the past, this place is like a Cadillac version of camping. We were given our choice of where to camp- a beautiful grassy grove of trees and plants with mottled light- and our young host brought over...

We chose this resort primarily due to the location - it is easily the closest lodging to Mt. St. Helens - but the gracious hospitality and the delicious food were great bonuses. Mark, the owner, also serves as the cook, and he made excellent and ample meals (he is proud to say, and we appreciated, that he does not deep-fry...

My wife and I and our 2 teenaged kids stayed for 2 nights during a week-long trip around the Olympic Peninsula. As most folks attest here, Mark, his daugther Cheyenne, and Brady, plus wife Dawn, try to make your stay pleasant in a family-run environment. The cabins are comfy and clean, with a propane-run fridge/lights/heater, table/chairs, counterspace, plus they provide...

My family stayed 2 nights at the park and it was by far our favorite place to stay during our vacation. The owner, Mark and guide, Brady, went out of their way to make us feel welcome - they were extremely accommodating and solicitous. We ended up being the only guests for the entire time we were there. The cabins...

We stayed one night in a 2-person cabin. Having been prepared for no electricity, we were pleasantly surprised. An employee took us to our cabin and showed us how everything worked and provided us with a lighter for the lights. The cabin was roomy with plenty of table and shelf space. It was immaculate and comfortable. They didn't tell us...

Trying to get as close as possible to Mt. St. Helens, we were intrigued by the idea of an off-the-grid cabin on the access road. Our clean and comfortable cabin featured a lovely back yard with a porch to enjoy it, gas lighting - a bit dim for reading but rather quaint, a clean outhouse with hot water and a...

We visited Eco Park mid-May of 2012, during our 10 day trip around western Washington. Our hosts Mark, Dawn and James provided us with amazing hospitality. It was a fun experience to stay somewhere with no electricity or phone service! The cabin was comfortable and while it only came with a double bed and two bunks, the sleeping experience was...
