Tourists beware- they cater to the locals first and foremost. Understandable in some ways, but left us offended, so we left. Had an incredible meal, great service and superb service at New Leaf Cafe in eastsound.

We've stayed at the Kingfish Inn 4 or 5 times, most recently this month, and it has always been a good experience. Bob and Lori are friendly and helpful hosts, Bob does a great breakfast, and the only downside to eating other meals at the restaurant is that it may be hard to get a reservation, so be sure to...

This was a great little B&B, only 4 rooms, on a very quiet harbor just minutes from the town of Eastsound. Breakfast was fabulous; part of the building is a restaurant so the owner, Bob, gave several choices to guests and it was very good food. Unfortunately, because of visits with friends, we were not able to experience the restaurant...

Pros: The owners of this place go out of their way to make your feel at home: excellent service! The food at the restaurant was also very good. We had both breakfast and dinner. The 1st floor room that we had was comfortable and large enough for my wife, I, and two teenagers. The bed was super comfortable. Cons: The...

My wife and I had the best time staying and the Kingfish Inn. The rooms have top of the line beds and linens which made my wife very happy "not typical of most inns". We had a great view of the bay. It seemed that the guests, owners, service help and locals all could hang together. Very easy to talk...

We chose the Kingfish based in part on its website and in part on others' reviews. We weren't disappointed. We stayed in the Sunrise/Sunrise Suite, and could hardly stop looking at the incredible views out the window. The room was cosy, the bed comfortable, the views stunning, the hosts welcoming. A wonderful retreat. (bathroom could use a little work, other...

very cozy and the best beds ever. We stayed at the kingfish Inn for the winter holidays and absolutely loved our stay. If you travel in the winter be sure and get a room with the fireplace and lots of good books and DVD's to watch. The food is amazing, Bob is great at creating whatever you want. We thought...

We stayed at a room with patio for three nights in July. The room was spacious but didn’t have a table which we could at least put a laptop. The bath room was small, there was a tiny place near the sink just enough for the toothbrush kit. The shower room was a little small as well and needs an...

My family and I had dinner at the Kingfish Inn and it was by far one the best place to eat on the island. The halibut and chips were fantastic, Baja shrimp tacos were also wonderful, clam chowder was delicious, I could go on and on. Quaint, great prices, no complaints!

We recently stayed at the Kingfish Inn on Orcas Island. There were 4 of us and we stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed the views, the rooms were nice, with comfortable beds. The showers were pre-fab and extremely small. We would give the rooms a 4 .... only negative is the showers. We had breakfast the first morning. It was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With just four very individual suites, Kingfish Inn housed in a historic 1902 building, is a treasured Orcas Island secret. At the junction of two designated scenic byways, our Inn is just steps away from the sparkling waters of West Sound and the bucolic and verdant farmlands of Crow Valley. Kingfish Inn is the perfect place to experience the healing "magic" of Orcas Island, the most spectacular of the San Juan islands. Having operated All Dream Cottages on Orcas Island for many years, we appreciate our guests desire for a more romantic and private lodging experience. We strive to provide that cozy and intimate, yet comfortable space for our Inn guests. We respect your privacy and unless asked, no one enters your space while you are here. Lie in bed all day with a good book or just sit still looking at the ever changing views from your window. Kingfish Inn is NOT a Bed and Breakfast. We do, however, provide coffee makers, tea and COMPLIMENTARY breakfast items like fresh fruit, yogurt, juice) in a small in-room refrigerator so that our guests may start their day on their own schedules. ... more   less
