a great experience -- very unique. however - no tv or wifi - and wasn't told that until we checked in. although right along the road - it was pretty quiet for sleeping which surprised me. very little around - so you pretty much eat at their restaurant as well. very close to national park

We did a secret adventure with our three grandchildren, so rented the #1 and 2 cabooses. It was a good one night experience and not a place where you would want to spend multiple days. Everyone loves to sit in the cupola. The red caboose bathroom is not for tall people. One has to sit sideways on the latrine, but...

Made reservation 30 days in advance for 2 rooms, when I asked for confirmation I was informed that this was not something they did and they would call me to confirm a week prior to arrival. I received a call the Monday before to confirm my Friday arrival I told the young lady my reservation was for Saturday , she...

This place is a little over 1/2 hour away from Tacoma area, yet its in rural part of Washington, at the east end of Alder Lake, about 20 miles from Mt. Rainier. Technology is not their strong point, as you have to call to make a reservation. You don't get an email confirmation but a verbal one, so you just...

We had a great stay in one of the cabooses. The beds were very comfortable and the train car was clean. We loved it!!! But we are an adventurous group. The only thing bad was it was musty when we entered but that quickly went away. We had a great stay.

It has a novel uniqueness to it (they are old cabooses/box cars) but it ends there. The cars are located right off the highway so if the AC is not running most likely you will hear the growl of trucks and passing traffic, although more annoying than unbearable. The rooms are tight given the pure nature of the dimension of...

Had to check in, in the lounge in which that was weird, then had to wait for 10 mins while he was taking orders from other guests. Then finally came to check me in then after he checked me in he asked How I was going to pay the Maid with credit card or cash? Really!?....for 1 we just checked...

I agree with many other reviewers that this is just an OK place to visit. The caboose sleeping quarters were small but fine for a one night stay while we visited the NW Trek up the road a bit. The dining was on the pricey side, and was mostly just bar food (chix nuggets, burger and fries, etc.). The person...

A stay in a caboose is infrequent but worthwhile once. Amidst a blanket of history yet the blanket on the bed cannot eliminate the cold. The heater was useless and loud. No TV, no radio, no wifi. The unit was clean and tidy. Nice soaps and towels. It was cold and the bed needs a new mattress. Ok once.
