While we liked the vintage appeal of the cottage we stayed in (#4), comfort was nowhere to be found. The bed felt like it hadn't been replaced since the 1950's (rock hard, thin blanket, and dingy bedding). The futon in the living room was a bit more comfortable, but it was covered with a loose, wrinkly bed sheet. Common hotel...

We really just stumbled upon the Anchorage Cottages, after a quick Trip Advisor search from the road. The rate seemed excellent, and it was just for one night, so we weren't concerned with proximity to the beach or restaurants. And what a find! We were arriving late in mid October 2015 (we had dinner at The Depot before checking in),...

Disappointing property from the reviews we thought it would be wonderful but far from it. Long walk to the beach. The cabin we had did not have a fire place in hindsight we should have paid the extra money because it was so cold. Beds are for summer no nice warm comforter. TV is from the 80's and super small....

Thank you for alerting us to the fact you needed warmer blankets or accommodations. The cottage did have an electric fireplace which heats the cottage very well. The "long walk" to the beach seems much long in November when it is raining. Any one familiar with Long Beach Peninsula knows the beach is growing due to the currents and most...

I have never stayed in such a wonderful cottage! It was super clean, quiet, and peaceful. The town is alive and amazing. Also, the walk to the world's longest beach is a short walk on a gorgeous trail. Loved it...

My family and I stayed here in Cottage #10. It was beyond our expectations since we have stayed in many places on trips to the beach. The cottage has been maintained very well and looks exactly like the pictures of it. No surprises here! It has all the comforts of home, just bring your clothes and food and you are...

this is a great alternative to renting a house on the beach, it is far less expensive, and you get more bang for your buck. great cozy cottages with fire places and wood supplied, and all around awesome little place with only a short walk to the beach on a nice scenic trail. we will be booking next years stay...

We were in #1 for 2 nights.I think #1 is the smallest cabin. Love the quaint look & beachy decor.Functional & all you need for a kitchenette stay. #1 does not really have the back patio the other units have. You could sit in the front of the cottages(more like duplexes)#1 is also by big #10.Luckily the group there was not...

Have stayed several times at these cottages and have made it the "center" for our family get-togethers. Cottages are old-fashioned but very well-kept up and clean, Most have access to the large yard with volleyball/badminton net and other conveniences. We'll keep coming!!

We were in a apt. that faced the parking strip and not the ocean but it was quiet for May. The owners were friendly and allowed me to use their beach bike. Next time we will book earlier and stay at a place near the beach.

This was a first stay for us at The Anchorage Cottages. We stayed for 3 nights and upon arrival, we were very impressed with the cleanliness of cabin #7. It was a two bedroom cabin which we didn't need, but that was all that was available when we booked. It had a fully appointed kitchen which allowed us to cook...
